Hugh Laurie for Hector Hammond. :woot:

He's been hanging out with Snoop Dogg a lot lately

Jumping back between this board and DNC coverage has made me realize something: Wesley Clark looks a hell of a lot like Alan Scott

i'd rather not see Two Face as GL especially if there is a possibility of a connecting series. There are so many talented actors out there just as famous that can take the role. theres no need to choose Eckhart (i'd rather see a brunnette anyways, and he doesnt seem to care about the comic character's hair color like two face)

I like Emille Hirsch. I just saw him in Into the Wild. He would be excellent as Hal Jordan. He could portray a character with no fear and a strong will easily.

Meh. He's a good actor, but too young for Hal. And besides, I don't want Speed Racer as Green Lantern.

Ryan Phillippe..... Hal Jordan

Jason Isaacs..... Sinestro

Paul Giamatti.... Hector Hammond

Carol Ferris.... Christina Ricci

God...Nolan's Batman does not live in a world with magic rings, flying men in blue and red tights, or a woman with a magic rope.

It's not that complicated to understand.

And I'm pretty sure it wasn't his decision to keep his hair color...

The ring's not magic, the Guardians of the Universe got rid of magic. And just because they didn't talk about it doesn't mean its not there. They never mentioned Tammeran in Gotham Central but it still existed in the same world.

I don't understand why people have such a hard time accepting that just because some stuff doesn't appear in the Gotham that Nolan's created doesn't mean that it doesn't exist outside of that city when comics especially the Batman books have been carving out niche worlds within shared universes for years.

They mention Metropolis in Batman Begins. Are you saying that Metropolis exists but Superman doesn't / won't?

Pretty naive if you ask me.

:thing: :doom: :thing:

Other way around, Gotham reference in Superman Returns

LOL.....Good one....

Then he's not Batman. Because that's the world that Batman lives in.

Purefoy certainly looks the part as Hal.

Never seen him in anything though; the only thing I know of him is that he was replaced by Hugo Weaving for the role of 'V'.

The absense of evidence is not the evidence of absense.

Purefoy was in a Knights Tale with Heath Ledger, He was the guy no one wanted to joust against.

Yeah...don't recall that reference. Probably because it didn't happen.

No, Superman doesn't exist in Nolan/Bale's Batman world. And "not because he's never shown up" but because he isn't a logical character in a real world Gotham CIty. Gotham is as "real" as NY or LA in Nolan's world. Everything is rooted/grounded in reality. Don't know why people don't understand that.

Anyway, on with the Green Lantern casting.

Savage said it best:

"The absense of evidence is not the evidence of absense."

I dont know why thats so hard to understand. Look at Batman comics. Batman is a human who uses gadgets and intelligence and logic to overcome obstacles of mostly human foes liek Joker and Riddler and Catwoman adn 2-Face yet past the city limits of Gotham is Superman and Green Lantern and Flash. Theres nothing in Nolans movies that says that these things can't happen other than the fact that these things just havent been shown. The scene when Fox or Batman or whoever says theres never been a documented case of superpowers or other elements than I'll believe. As far as Im concerned if you try to adapt Batman and you leave no room for Bat's rogues (Freeze, Clayface, etc) and allies such as the Justice League and suspension of disbelief that is even in the most realistic movies, than you failed at adapting Batman.

Lets face it. If Nolan said tomorrow that Batman 3 will included surreal characters like Freeze or Clayface everyone would eat it up. "In Nolan We Trust" i believe is the motto.

Hal Jordan- Nathan Fillion/James Marsden
Sinestro- Daniel Day Lewis/Hugo Weaving
John Stewart- Cuba Gooding Jr./Common
Guy Gardner- Steve Zahn/Scott Caan
Kyle Rayner- Milo Ventimiglia/Chris Pyne
