Yeah if WB's went with Sam Worthington as Hal...it really woudln't really surprise me at all.

Darken his hair and he's there.

He's 6'2 as well.

And ironically he's starring alongside Common (who was supposed to be John Stewart in JLM), Anton Yelchin (who was supposed to be Wally West in JLM) and of course Bale.

WB likes to throw their actors around from project to project, so him being cast wouldnt surprise me.

I don't know this guy. The look is good, but I'm not familiar with him.

^ Worthington's a good actor, I recommend a film he's in called Somersault.

Gosling? meh

Hes an excellent actor and there could have been worse choices. Hes just not who I think when I think of Hal. When its official and/or I have time to digest it, I'll probably change my tune.

gosling is an excellent choice, just needs to gain a tidbit of weight/muscle.

Gosling's a great actor. If he packs on the muscle and weight, then I'm all for it. I always thought he would make a superb Joker.

I saw Goslling more as Green Arrow, but he's a brilliant actor and I'd take him over some of the look-a-like choices i see.

Gosling is a fine actor and an interesting choice, despite the fact that he doesn't physically exude some of the qualities I see Hal Jordan as having. Some weight gain, training, and a decent haircut might fix that, but I'm not sure.

The most important part of this casting is that it indicates the direction WB plans on taking this project. They are going for real quality talent - not a big action name.

And how the hell is Hal Jordon suppose to sound like Man of Tomorrow?

Actually Gosling would be a good choice!

A solid actor who is an up and comer and is the right age. I always thought Gosling would be a good choice for Wally West or Barry Allen...but I would accept Gosling as a just starting out Hal Jordan.

I never pictured Gosling as Green Lantern, but he's got the acting skills to pull off the character. I say give him a shot.

Not like Gosling.

He's got a high-pitched whiny voice.

I always imagined Hal to have a low commanding one; like in all his animated appearances.

I seem to share the sentiment on gosling. Not my choice, but he's a good enough actor that I'd give him a shot.
