They probably wont do Justice League now, or at least not for awhile. They are especially not doing the Justice League we all thought we were getting. The success of Dark Knight has revamped WBs entire outlook

Here's a sort of recent pic with brown hair.

He's not a huge guy but he could put on some weight easy however Hal isn't superman his ring and his will do the work. I don't think Hal can look like a pansy he has to be fit and look good in an airforce uniform but he definately doesn't have to be a huge guy either.

These pics show that Gosling is plenty fit enough to play Hal. I think Gosling is a solid choice and he has the acting chops....we would be lucky as fans if he indeed gets the role.

Someone else I think would make a fine Green Lantern is Matthew Fox.

Yes, he's too old for the 27 year old Hal Jordan in the script, but I'd have no problem with a mid-thirties Hal Jordan. I doubt the age is critical to the script, so they could probably change it to suit whatever actor they select.

To be honest... I think it will be the casting that will really make or break this movie.

We are getting a influx of super-heroes now and well, special effects aren't really that special anymore.

I wouldn't even know where to start with Green Lantern... Unknown or big name star?

Bad casting? An excellent, Oscar-nominated actor is far from bad casting. In fact, if Gosling turns the role down, WB are going to have a tough time finding an actor for the role who won't seem like a disappointment in comparison.

I totally agree. The guy may not look exactly like Hal, but he still a damn fine casting decision!
