he didnt say all, he said most. And i do think he was referring to more than he was involved with, but by the time he said that GL and Jonah Hex were already well on there way

Yeah he meant like Flash, Shazam, WW, Supermax, MAYBE Superman Reboot

I say this is the way to go:

Green Lantern: Josh Hartnett
Carol Ferris: Rachel McAdams
Sinestro: Mads Mikkelsen
Hector Hammond: David Thewlis
Carl Ferris: Rutger Hauer
i doubt Hauer gets it since he was already Mr Earle in batman begins.

I'm probably the only dude who feels this way but I was pretty bummed when Hauer didn't get to be Magneto. Of course Ian McKellan was still a sweet pick.

Can Josh Harnett stay away from Jordan though ? I like the fella but he's always been rather low-key to me. I'm not sure he can pull of Hal's brash cocky charm.

GL Hal Jordan- Leonardo DiCaprio
GL John Stewart- Jamie Foxx
GL Guy Gardner- Jeremy Renner
GL Kyle Rayner- Chris Pine
Gl Alan Scott- Scott Bakula
Carol Ferris- Rebecca Hall
Cowgirl- Amy Smart
Katma Tui- Bridget Moynahan
Arisia- Jennifer Morrison (Kinda filler, I just wanted someone not mentioned a lot)
Fatality- Rhona Mitra
Sinestro- Daniel Day-Lewis (far-fetched)
Hector Hammond- David Thewlis
Hank Henshaw- John Hamm (I like him better as cyborg GL baddie than twisted Supes mirror)
Nero- Eric Mabius (based primarily on his Crow movie, theres probably a better choice)
Kanjar Ro- Kevin J O'Conner
Kilowog- Michael Clark Duncan
Ganthet- Ian Holm
GL Sodam Yat- Matthew Marsden
GL Vath Sarn- Karl Urban
Salaak- David Hyde Pierce (filler)
Green Arrow- Denis Leary
Arsenal- Scott Caan
Tom Kalmaku- Adam Beach
Abin Sur- Colm Feore
Saint Walker- Doug Jones (filler, this character will probably never see screen time EVER)

I wouldn't be shocked if WB is saving their announcements until the New York Comic Con, Feb. 6-8. There's a big 50th Anniversary of Hal Jordan panel on Sunday where it would make a lot of sense to roll out an announcement.

sounds like a good bet.

Leonardo DiCaprio isn't your archetypal Hal Jordan, but he's such a talented actor, I'd be happy with him in the role. However, given who we know has been offered the part, I think Leo might be too big a name. It's not often that Leonardo DiCaprio is your third choice after Ryan Gosling and Casey Affleck turn you down.

I disagree, the foundation of his career has been smart mouth hotshots

I have no doubt he's got the acting chops to pull it off, and that he's done plenty in his career to qualify for it. Hell, he even rode planes in The Aviator. But a lot of film fans still can't let go of Titanic. And you know fanboys. "Whine-whine-whine, pretty boy Leo doesn't look like Hal Jordan in this Alex Ross painting I now present to you. Nathan Fillion should be whine-whine-whine...."

no doubt about that

While he doesnt look like the spitting image of the Alan Ross pic I think in general he looks a hell of a lot like Hal.

I could see Leonardo DiCaprio in the role. He would bring some girls to the theatre, that's for sure.

Physically, DiCaprio is much better than Gosling or Affleck. And he's arguably a better actor, too.

Oh yeah, I can dig it. If Leonardo DiCaprio gets cast, I'm behind it 100%. I already suggested him a while back. If he's not a candidate, it'll due to him being above WB's radar, rather than him being unsuitable for the role.

On this note, at NCC on Saturday February 7th from 1:30pm to 3:45pm, there is a movie panel marked on the program simply as "???"

Certainly seems like a good possibility. But, it could just as easily be a Marvel movie (Wolverine, Thor, or Iron Man 2), Jonah Hex, Green Hornet, or something else altogether. Definitely a date to pay attention to.

i would like to think that there will be an announcement before March with the casting of Hal Jordan and the production.

I would be happy if any of these actors were cast as Hal Jordan...

DiCaprio
Duhamel
Hartnett
Phillippe
