I know. I can read what youve said and I havent seen anyone go "If Fillon isnt cast this movie is gonna suck and Im not gonna see it"

So...yeah

RYAN REYNOLDS: Hey everybody! We're making a Deadpool movie! It's gonna be great, we're fixing all the problems of his portrayal in X-Men Origins. He's gonna have the classic costume, he's gonna be the merc with a mouth full of wisecracking one-liners, he's gonna break the fourth wall, it'll be awesome, just like the comics...

FOX: Ummm...... yeah, about that. Breaking the fourth wall? That doesn't sound very profitable. I think it's best we keep Deadpool a blade-wielding mute in red jeans.

RYAN REYNOLDS: Man, that really sucks. After I promised the fans, you're gonna make me look like a liar? I think I'm just gonna do Green Lantern instead, you got a problem with that?

FOX: If we do, we won't tell anyone about it until you've finished shooting, so we can hold Warner Bros up for more easy money.

SHHHHH! :cmad:

Someone from Fox may be reading this...

They'll find some way because sueing is the only way they get money nowadays because they're too stupid to make good movies that will make them money.

Most ppl think hes funny some are just worried about him being dramatic
90% of ppl are happy about the choice
8% aren't sure what to think
2% are completely unhappy

At least thats what it seems like around various sites

Though, to be fair, those 2% are almost never happy about anything, and never will be.

There are also people who would not accept that anyone but Nathan Fillion could do the role. They were going to hate anyone who got it.

???
No some ppl just dont like the choice

Look up the word "also." You will thank me for introducing it to you.

So...yeah

First of all, when did I say people wouldn't see it?
Second, if you are actually looking at "various sites," how are you not seeing people say that? Here are some of the responses under just the Entertainment Weekly story on it:

Nathan Fillion should be the Green Lantern HANDS DOWN

I agree it should have been Nathan Fillion. Why can we all see this and the studios can’t? Idiots

Nathan Fillion would be a perfect Hal Jordan. I like RR, but NF is a 10 times better choice. Bradley Cooper probably slightly better than RR too (for this role). Loved RR on 2 guys and a girl.

No offense, Ryan-but why not Nathan Fillion? He's so talented and would look perfect wearing the ring & mask. I hope the studio didn't think NF was too old.

Should have chosen Nathan Fillion. :(

And third, why did you even care that I said: "There are also people who would not accept that anyone but Nathan Fillion could do the role. They were going to hate anyone who got it."? How did that affect you even one iota? It is a fact and it had nothing to do with you. Had I said something like "the ONLY people who don't like RR are the Nathan Fillion lovers," then I can see where you might have said something. But I have noticed that you sure do like to create unnecessary drama.

NF is too old now...

To be honest, the only thing I have ever seen him in is Dr. Horrible.
I never pictured him as Green Lantern from the pictures I saw (no matter what the age), but there is no denying he has some rabid fans.

He was good in Slither, I love that movie.

Fillion's TV show, Castle, was picked up for a second season, so he wouldn't be available for Green Lantern anyway.

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that he will be in the movie in a smaller role, though.

He wouldn't be available to play Hal Jordan, though, so there's really no point to moaning and groaning that he didn't get the part when his schedule wouldn't have allowed him to take the part in the first place.

Reality has never stopped people from complaining.

Ryan Reynolds huh? Works for me.

And also...I like Nathan Fillion. But I could never see him as Hal Jordan.

Good God, are people still here on about Fillion. Just hearing his name is driving me insane. The man is past his chance people. He was never gonna get it.

Just heard he news and I must say I'm not sure how I officially about the decision. I know I definitely don't hate it. Let's see who else gets the other parts. I am now even more interested to find out who will play Sinesto

Personally pulling for Jason Isaacs. He seems pretty perfect for the role. Hugo Weaving should stick with being Megatron. Jason Isaac's schedule is opening up soon with the close of the Harry Potter franchise fast approaching.

I just googled him. He definitely has the look and could pull of the character's traits. I'd be happy with either him or Weaving.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy with Weaving, but I'd just prefer Isaacs. Weaving's been in blockbuster superhero films before, but Isaacs hasn't. I don't want the same few actors playing the headliners in the superhero films. That's actually one of my main problems with Reynolds as Hal Jordan.

Have we ever seen Isaacs play a good guy in anything? I love the guy and he's prven to be a great bad guy. But that's the thing.

In the script he starts out as a good guy, he's one of the Corps, can Isaacs pull it off? Because with him in the role we first see him as the good guy, the audience will go, "Oh, he'll be the bad guy eventually, it's inevitable." He's just so molded into that category I don't know.

Isaacs burnt down a church filled with people in 'The Patriot' and killed 2 of mel gibsons sons...that's a villain

Yes, but one of those sons was Heath Ledger. As we found out in January of 2008, its not that hard to kill him.

Was that a little crass?

LOVE REYNOLDS!!! He was one of my choices, I just thought there was no way he would get the part. this. is. AWESOME!!!

Great casting. It's really perfect. The script was written for him. :-D
