hehehehehe I couldn't resist.

But seriously, I had been anticipating TDK for so long before it came out, I think I cried more than he died than when my own Grandma died last March.

Yeah, it was sad. He was such a cool bloke. :csad:

I think it's odd that we're only sticking to pretty much Hal Jordan and Sinestro, and only talking about Carol Ferris a little. What about Kilowog? What about any of the Guardians of the Universe? What about Katma Tui? What about Abin Sur, who is arguably the second most important lantern after Hal Jordan as he puts the whole series of events in motion!!!???

Have we ever seen Isaacs play a good guy in anything? I love the guy and he's prven to be a great bad guy. But that's the thing.

In the script he starts out as a good guy, he's one of the Corps, can Isaacs pull it off? Because with him in the role we first see him as the good guy, the audience will go, "Oh, he'll be the bad guy eventually, it's inevitable." He's just so molded into that category I don't know.
He looks like the devil and his name is Sinestro. I think people are going to figure out that he's going to turn out to be a bad guy.

Personally pulling for Jason Isaacs. He seems pretty perfect for the role. Hugo Weaving should stick with being Megatron. Jason Isaac's schedule is opening up soon with the close of the Harry Potter franchise fast approaching.

I agree with you 100 %. Isaacs has the perfect voice and looks like a sinister guy but it is kinda hidden underneath, exactly how a future complete traitor should be. But Weaving is my second choice though.

Isaacs burnt down a church filled with people in 'The Patriot' and killed 2 of mel gibsons sons...that's a villain

And he has a snake on his cane in Harry Potter. That is just.....*shudders* evil. And don't forget his absolutely menacing long, blonde hair.

Found this in the manip thread. Seriously, how can he not be perfect for Sinestro?

Oh. Well....uhhh..... anyone who is willing to wear that wig must be committed to sinisterness and evil!(?)

Thank god Ryan got the part. The other two *****es couldn't compare in the role.

I love Ryan as an actor, so i'm sure he'll do a good job. There's a pretty good team behind this too. Let's hope they can make Green Lantern a move people will want to see.

Damn you got a point.

But how eell can Isaacs play a good guy for this whole movie? He can't automatically ooze evil when we first see him. We at least have to like him and believe in that part of the performance, not checking our watch and asking, "When is he gonna be evil?"

Can someone please tell me which alien GLs (apart from Sinestro and Kilowog) are specifically named in the script?

Tomar-Re, Abin Sur. I think there were a few others but I can't remember

Wasn't kilowog mentioned?
Yeah, but I already knew Kilowog is in it, so I said apart from him and Sinestro. I also knew Abin Sur, but forgot to mention him. I figured Tomar Re would be in it. Any others? Arisia? Ch'p? Salaak? Katma Tui?

Wow, I totally missed that part in your post! My apologies!

Haha, Green Lantern made Tony Stark a visit... :p

Agreed. Renolds is still a better actor than the other two choices, and I have more faith in him than Cooper and JT. Its not like Ryan Renolds can't do anything Cooper or JT can't do.

^I really didn't think WB would get him because if the Deadpool movie. When the rumor went around that he'd withdrawn his name from consideration I thought, "Well there's no surprise", but then BAM! he got cast. :woot:

Haha I wasn't even online throughout the time he was being considered. I just looked online and saw that he became Green Lantern, and I was surprised!

I was just surprised it was announced the day after the final three. I came online, saw it and gasped. I thought it was gonna be announced tomorrow.

honestly, after seeing The Hangover, I still didn't think Bradley Cooper was a good choice. He wasn't even the strongest character in the Hangover since he didn't change a whole lot throughout the film.

I really think if Cooper got the role (in which I wouldn't mind) of Hal, I think there would be a bigger commotion from the fanboys (if that even matters).
