I think it will do, personally Iceman - think GL covers a lot of demographic bases.

Look at it this way, if this does well and is a hit it may well lead to some other space-faring characters getting a green-light (no pun intended) - may finally get to see and awesome cosmic Silver Surfer movie as well as a GL sequel.

And that can only be a good thing for those that have waited for years for the cosmic superhero films to get made.

I been waitin' to see a Silver Surfer movie for quite a while now, the Fantastic Four sequel really showed how cool Silver Surfer looks in a live-action movie.

I got to say that I am sick and tired of the Blake Lively hate when it comes to Green Lantern, to me she has potential to be a good actress, and is also hot in a conventional and unconventional way. 'The Town' is proof (imo). She is also really nice (without a doubt) and actually broadcast's signs of 'intelligence'.

I think she'll do good. She's good in gossip girl and she was good in the town. She did look questionable in the green lantern trailer, but I think we just need to see more of her performance.

I think that Lively was provided with 'shoddy' dialog in the first trailer only when she was telling Hal that he has the ability to overcome great?! fear or however that line went.

Her first lines in the trailer were her worst. I thought she sounded a lot better with the lines you just named.

I honestly thought that those lines were shoddy free. The line that I said was bad, if Lively didn't say it with too much earnestness, then it would have been fine (I think).

I agree with what reynolds said in that interview earlier this week. By the rhird movie id like to see it turned over to guy or john, because I feel like most audiences wo now anything about Dc, know Hal better than the other lanterns

Only if you hear them together. Personally I don't think those lines will be heard that way in the film. It sounded more like those lines were edited together.

"Hal." "You're late." "This is IMPORTANT".

I mean, when you think about it, that doesn't even make that much sense. You're late, this is important?

So of course the delivery is off. Because they weren't meant to be heard together that way.

I thought those lines were edited also.

That exchange between them is probably about a minute long.

If we watch carefully, we can see that in the first Trailer, Blake Lively's lip movements do not match the dialogue lines -

"Hal." "You're late." "This is IMPORTANT".

Which shows that the scene is heavily edited.

WB may have chosen lively to draw in that gossip girl crowd, but they haven't marketed her inclusion much at all.

A smart move would be including an exclusive clip of green lantern during an episode of gossip girl, featuring a scene between lively and reynolds.

We would probably have seen a lot more of Lively by now if the teaser trailer was better received.

All I know is she was pretty good in The Town. I haven't seen Gossip Girls and I don't intend to so I'll reserve judgment until GL is out.

You're grasping for straws, guy. Her voice wasn't dubbed in that trailer. Maybe something was wrong with your computer (slow download speed or something).

Well no crap they were edited. I'm not going to base a potentially bad performance off a trailer, where stuff, especially dialogue is cut down and inserted in different areas many, many times.

20 minutes until the Green Lanern panel starts at Kapow!-Con.

The Kapow! footage was the same as the 9 minute reel from WonderCon.

Most fanboys shouldn't really give a crap about Ferris until she possibly gets the Zamaron powers anyway in a sequel.

I will give the chance to Lively. She looks very excited with the movie and effort to try her best. I wanna see more of her in the new trailer.

I kinda' like the idea of an excited Blake Lively.
