Will Smith Hopes Acting Runs in the Family

In an interesting bit of casting news, Will Smith's six-year-old daughter Willow (a name I wholeheartedly approve of) will join her father in the cast of his upcoming vampire film I am Legend. She'll be playing the role she was born to play -- the daughter of Will Smith's character. Smith will play a vampire hunter with plenty of prey, as his character is set to be the last non-vampire in an apocalyptically plagued earth; although the vampire/non-vampire status of his daughter in the film seems to be unknown currently.

I read in Heat mag, that Will is filming some stuff over here, there was a picture and it said Will Smith filming on set of his new film.

Fango just learned that makeup FX artist Christien Tinsley is creating the undead creatures that pursue Will Smith and co. through I AM LEGEND, the megabudget film version of Richard Matheson’s classic vampire-apocalypse novel currently shooting in New York City. Prior to creating LEGEND’s bloodthirsty “hemosites,” as they’re called in this adaptation, Tinsley built the Bigfoot for Ryan Schifin’s ABOMINABLE (in which he also took an acting role, pictured, as the ill-mannered, ill-fated home-care worker for Matt McCoy’s hero) and got Jim Caviezel all bloody for THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST; he also contributed some very messy blood FX to William Friedkin’s upcoming thriller BUG. Directed by Francis (CONSTANTINE) Lawrence, I AM LEGEND is targeting a November 21, 2007 release by Warner Bros. —Michael Gingold

These are profoundly fake! Notice Smith's outfit is identical to the one he had in I, Robot. If these were real, someone in WB's promotional department would need to be shot. Poor composition and proportions, not to mention the unimaginative typeface.

Definately next year. Considering that they are still shooting , i doubt will be seeing a teaser trailer in December.
They're gonna shoot for 6 months ( IMDB lists filming between 23 September 2006 - 31 March 2007) i think we can wait till MArch for a trailer.

Or not , depending whether they've already begun working on some VFX shots as shooting continues.
My bet would be that Warner will release the first trailer with 300 consedering that it's also a WB movie. Either that or they'll go with the high profile movies such as POTC 3 / Spiderman 3 / Shrek 3 or attach the trailers with Harry Potter and/or OCean's 13
