so is there anyone else I would know in this flick?

Man, I am so torn whether I want to see this or not. It's one of my favourite stories, but from the pics I've seen this should not bear the title I am Legend and should have the text loosely based on the Novella by Richard Matheson.

If it didn't have the title it did I would say it looked like a decent action/horror flick.

Is that important lol, check IMDB or somethng.

I liked the book I am looking forward to see what the film is like, there has been a film made before, I wouldn't mind seeing that either.

I just don't think there was that many people in the book by looking at the pictures lol.

Well I have checked IMDB but like none of the main characters it looks like have been cast

My reasoning for why it is important is cause, even though I love Will Smith, I don't like watching vehicles for stars, that is why War of the Worlds did not work for me, I can't just watch a movie that is so bent on how this one guy does in it, like I liked the casting they did on Minority Report for Cruise, just actors that aren't huge, but they are big enough, and good enough to give your eyes a break from Cruise for awhile

like if the main vampire was just like James Macovy or something would be all I am asking for I guess

But no this should be a sweet flick I think

more set pics.

Wow, is that a dumb look he has on his face! It does look like someone just farted and he's trying to locate the source. Baaaah!

Legend spends big

The only way for the production team behind I AM LEGEND to spend more money at this point would be to somehow finance the resurrection of Jesus. Apparently for one particular scene (when shooting took place for six consecutive nights) the production had a crew of two hundred and fifty, a thousand extras, one hundred and sixty members of the National Guard, four Department of Defense Humvees, three Styker armoured vehicles, a flotilla of Coast Guard boats, a Coast Guard helicopter, a Black Hawk Army helicopter and the original painting of the Mona Lisa, which crew members set on fire when they got cold. Okay, not really the Mona Lisa, but how ridiculous is that? This particular scene, which takes place on the Brooklyn Bridge, explains how Smith got to be the last human on Earth (the movie is based on the Richard Matheson novel about the only survivor of a lethal virus that has wiped out the world's population, leaving only mutant zombies types), and is, yes that's right, a flash back. This is pretty huge, but Will Smith is by far the most bankable star in Hollywood right now. He could take a dumps in DVD cases and they would sell like hot-cakes, so there's no doubt this movie is gonna recoup. Click HERE to check out the full article, which alleges this scene alone could have cost almost $30 million!

The $5 Million I Am Legend Scene
Source: The Hollywood Reporter
April 26, 2007

The Hollywood Reporter has published a report on a massive scene from Warner Bros. Pictures' I Am Legend, directed by Francis Lawrence and starring Will Smith. Here's a clip:

New York. Nighttime. Post-apocalypse. As a life-warping illness devastates the American populace, survivors gather at a pier by the Brooklyn Bridge, desperate to be evacuated.

It is a central moment in Warner Bros. Pictures' "I Am Legend," the much-anticipated $150 million-plus sci-fi actioner starring Will Smith and directed by Francis Lawrence. But as impressive a nail-biter as this particular scene will surely be, its drama is rivaled by that of the process of mounting and shooting it on six successive nights in January.

"The physical scale of the Brooklyn Bridge scene was the most daunting," says location manager Paul Kramer, who began prepping back in July. "There were so many moving parts."

In addition to complying with the requirements of no fewer than 14 government agencies, producers had to bring in a crew of 250, plus 1,000 extras, including 160 members of the National Guard in full combat gear. They commandeered a flotilla of Coast Guard boats, grappled with hypothermia-inducing temperatures, coped with dozens of production-related injuries -- and nursed a frozen helicopter.

wow... this is quickly becoming one of my most anticipated movies of the year. not to mention, i've been dying to see something else from francis lawrence. granted, i've only got constantine to go on, but i think the guy has an awesome visual style and attention to detail not often seen in hollywood. and if he can get a performance that good out of keanu, i can't wait to see what he does with will smith.

This film is set up to be amazing.
Besides, Will Smith is one of my top favorite actors, and I always love his films.

Cool new pictures, Will Smith is great and I still think his hot lol.

So trailer should be coming out around July time then?
I liked the book, so I wonder how smailar they will be.

Probably not very...should still be a fun movie though.

Are the ''vampires'' more like the omega man type, or more like the infected from 28 Days/weeks later?
