Comics Official JEAN GREY/PHOENIX Discussion Thread

Except that she's only been in relationships with men and had sex with men and is attracted to men. That includes her narrow minded dopey HUSBAND.

Other than that, yeah.

 Bad, Darth, bad. I thought you were a fan...
Its been a common thing that Claremont has hinted at bi tendancies with Storm for decades. As stated in teh above post, it was never more apparent than in the pages of X-treme X-men. Just check out Storm the Arena. Storm was a little too close to Yukio. Tell me Storm isnt a closet lesbian here...lol

:whatever: I don't think we need 2 Storm threads.

Awww. But we were just promoting the idea of a 'Ro/Jean pairing with the two of them marrying and having omega babies. Or something. :woot:

And no, me promoting me any pairing involving Jean and anyone but Cyke has nothing to do with me wanting her to stay the f**k away from him. *cough*

I think a couple of Havok is just a little jellious that not even CC's Storm would never swing his/her way. :P

Back on topic. If anyone one of the X-men had to be a lesbian it should have been Jean. Men have done nothing but p***ify her and bring her down.

That girl needs to be man free for a looooooooooooooooong time.

@DC, how can you not love that line. Common. It's almost as cool as Bumble himself. I mean I don't remember the OG Bumbles ever pooting on a lawn, being a horny adolescence (oddly enough more so than the boy), teabaging someone, then just peeing all over them.

You're just jellious too. :P!!! You couldn't get away with all that, and have Megan Fox ride you. Haha

I jest...or do I ???

Have her and 'Ro hook up, then. Everyone happy. :woot:

The Autobots from this verse saw their planet die and are among the few survivors of their race. Bitter hardened war heroes should pretty much be a given. Really, "lubricating" someone hardly strikes me as appropriate. Nor was playing hide and seek, eh.

But then again, Bay's Transformers were little more than soulless tools, eh. Only scene that screamed epic was the autobots' arrival and that's about it. :wow:

But anyway, back on topic.

'Ro and Jean. As a couple. Fighting 24/7 and bickering over who's the biggest alpha-female. In lingerie.

Discuss.

Wait wait wait...I see you ignored the last part of what I said. :woot::oldrazz: Ok, so what, their planet got creamed. Does that mean that they can't have a sense of humor? If I recall, Jazz, Bee and some others had quite a few zingy one-liners back in the day.

AND lets not mention anytime some jack-hole gets teabagged it's funny, no matter what the situation. One a another note, how can you fault the Bots for their 2-d'ness? They only had about a 1/2 hour of screen time. Bay spent to damn long trying to make Even Steven Shia Labuff cool. He didn't realize he needed several life times for that.

Oh and there was wasted time in there trying to get Megan Fox to emote and act.

As for your question. I have no problem with a Ro/Jean hookup. Really. As long as Jean is parasite free. Why, you ask?

I'll take any Ro hookup as long as that moron is out of the picture. By moron I mean that thing that Hudlin turned the Black Panther into, and his lapdog McGuffie too.

I hate that last picture. I cant beleive Fox f-ed up her blue/gold costume which was pretty damn good in the books. What is up with the headgear and that pony tail? Were they purposely trying to ugly her up? And teh color scheme made her look half naked. The cartoon had it all wrong. THIS is how it should look

But their planet wasn't dead and they weren't racing against time. Also, one-liners and lubricating someone aren't quite the same thing... Talk about common denominator. :woot:

Of course it is.

But doesn't teabagging involve beating the f**k out of someone before doing it??? The scene wasn't even close. It felt like a Post-Mortem one-liner only without the Post-Mortem part... Very very wrong. :oldrazz:

I don't mind 2-d'ness that much. I mean, they're soldiers. Still, I walked in expecting that there was a reason for the characters to have actual names... :cwink:

Still, I was rather referring to how there was hardly anything epic about the whole thing. There's something wrong when millions-years old war vets don't embody such a notion. Did *anyone* give a crap about Jazz dying??? And what's up with having Prime going 'one shall stand, one shall fall' OFF-SCREEN. Bay never watched a western, did he?? :wow:

Big surprise. :woot:

Oh, and it wasn't much of an actual question. Someone commented on how this wasn't a Storm thread. Figured I'd steer things back towards Jean in a way that was anything but serious and keep 'Ro as part of the discussion, lol.

Nice scnas  Aaah, how it feels so good to see regular Jean/Phoenix.

NO WAY they should have Jeannie go both ways. Not even Scott could drive her that way.....

I don't want them to ignore everything that happened in Morrison and Endsong with the Phoenix. That'd be stupid and it already happened in the 80s much to the detriment of continuity and established storylines and characters.

They can use the Phoenix as they do with Rachel- codename, costume, and limited powers. Its not hard at all to explain. Everytime she's appeared she's gone through the power cycle.

Just keep her at the Seagle/Kelly power levels (when she first manifested the bird after her resurrection in the pod) and it'll be fine.

It doesn't have to be apocalyptic with the Phoenix. Personally I absolutely loved Morrison's run and take on it, but now that it's done, no need for inferior writers to retread it.

Repeat: to do, make, or perform again: to repeat an action.
(and my personal favorite definition) : to cause a slight regurgitation

I am not going to list all the Phoenix crap after the initial storyline.

The initial storyline was great. Most of the Phoenix overuse has been with Rachel and the bloody convoluted bull**** in the 80s and 90s.

Morrison's was also great. That makes it 2 for 2 with Jean :yay:

Ugh, comixfan have a whole thread talking about Storm being a closeted lesbian esp. in Xtreme, but that's a story for another thread.

And yeah I agree. One of the turn off development of Jean's character is that she needs a man ALL the time. I just don't get why she's so like that. Maybe because Storm and Rogue were another type, so they need to have someone as dependent as Jean. But still...

Hey, there is nothing wrong with a woman that NEEDS a guy.....right?

well Scott was her husband. Only divorce or death was gonna seperate her from him

But if she comes back, she and Scott both need some time and distance between them to sort out their feelings and issues, I think they're better staying single for some time, trying to learn to function as individuals before they pick up where they left.

So, what, Jean would get to run the institute and Cyke would be leader of the strike/black ops team with whoever was closest to him during MC???

Would actually rock.

I think Jean works better as headmistress. Scott works better as field leader than as a headmaster. I wouldnt mind either
