Comics Official NEW EXILES Discussion Thread

LOL "raped the characterization" very very harsh, but sadly so true

Hi! I'm new to Exiles, I've just read the 92 issues in a couple of days lol and it was definately a great read, even though Bedard was not at his best in his last issues. The new Claremont issues are pretty good, but I'm not a big fan of his overuse of narrative boxes, but if the story's good and as long as he gets rid of Proteus I'm all for it. And I hope they stick with Pelletier to pencil this book, I don't really like Calafiore's art.

Ha. I think I agree with you on every count.

Exiles #94 will arrive in stores on May 16 from Marvel Comics. The issue is written by Chris Claremont, with art and cover by Paul Pelletier.

Here's how Marvel describes the issue:

"'Enemy of the Stars,' part 5 of 5. The conclusion of Chris Claremont¹s first arc on Exiles! This Earth's Madame Hydra has brought the planet to its knees. Now she's ready to deliver a final, fatal blow to her former husband, Reed Richards. Can this last hero standing stop his world from dying with the help of Psylocke and Sabretooth? Or will this be the first world the Exiles fail to save?"

Exiles #94 will be 32 pages and will cost $2.99.

So....is he gonna get rid of Blink so Psylocke can takeover as scantily clad, uber powerful leader chick? as long as Clarice isnt killed and is dumped in the 616, i'm good. not saying any of that will or would happen though

Seriously doubt that. Blink is the heart of the series, and it would be quite a mistake to get rid of her.

Yeah, think I'm droppin this book after this arc wraps up. I'll continue to follow the series until a new writer hops on the book.

Last we left the Exiles, they had traveled to a utopian world where Dr. Victor Von Doom—the savior of mankind—leads a team of heroes made up from Johnny Storm, Sue Storm and Bruce Banner while Reed Richards lives life as an underground fugitive who despises what has become of the world above. Now the Exiles are split in the war between the two men when a horrifying secret is revealed about the Earth’s population! 32 PGS./Rated A …$2.99

Oh, c'mon. CC's first arc wasn't that bad. It was entertaining, even if it had a stupid Deus Ex Machina ending.

And as for the above preview... What the hell, has CC moved on from his obsession for all things female and made Reed Richards his new sex interest?

Not sure if this has been asked... now that the Zemo mini-series is over, is there anything new involving Tom Grummett coming soon? I just love his style; it has a very classic feel. I loved all the Zemo covers he did on the mini. I'm hoping for more Grummett goodness soon!

JQ: Hey, rochvail, Tom will be on Exiles later this year.

I like Grummet's stuff. I wonder if he'll just do covers or take over for Henry with the interiors.

That's a pity, I loved Pelletier on this title, but Grummet's stuff looks great too. I just hope the writing is on par with the art. I'm starting to hate all those alternate Fantastic Four. We just finished one arc with them and Claremont has another one with another alternate FF. It's like Marvel doesn't have any more characters. Give us some alternate X-Men, some Ultimate crossover, **** the Panoptichron transportation system and leave the Exiles lost like they were at the beginning, jumping from one dimension to another and get rid of that Spider-Man and infuse this book with some fresh blood.

Yes.

I was losing interest with the way all the Proteus stuff ended, now it's just now worth my $3.

I'll still be reading though ;)

I picked this book up for all of 2 issues. Love Betsy, but even she isnt enough to get me to continue reading

I think the ending of 94 turned me off a bit. The whole alternate reality Betsy dying... that was... too much. Too much Betsy, even for a fan like myself.

dayum..that's..that's just robbery

3 dollars can buy me three copies of Peter David's "Howling Mad" novel (which honestly, wasnt that bad. he loves his male anatomy though) from Family Dollar or Maxway or Dollar General.

or some other used paperback novel.
