I will never want there to NOT be comic book movies, but I'm definitely glad its not the only kind of film available, or else I would get sick of them yes. The same could be said for period films.

Period films?

Now that Christmas is coming, I am getting in the mood to watch a bunch of holiday films. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story (can't believe they made a sequel very recently  ), A Nightmare Before Christmas, etc...

It's good to take a break, anyway. I'm probably going back to catching up on Star Trek episodes, and rewatching The Walking Dead season 1-2.

I have to watch The Walking Dead season two myself. Especially after no more TWD until February :csad:

A lot of people complain about season 2 being too slow, but I actually thought it was an improvement over the first season. Lots of character development. Though, the second half of that season is where things really pick up. Season 3 is just amazing.

I think, imo, it had to be somewhat "slow" simply because the season is extended in episodes.

I think if you watch S2 episode after episode it won't be as "slow." However, seeing one episode once a week made it "slow."

My thoughts exactly

If anything, I thought the beginning of Season 1 was kind of slow. Took a couple of episodes for the show to really pick up IMO.

I don't know if this is an internet phenomenon, but in the last few days, I've heard several people refer to ASM as "Twilight Spidey". I assume that Garfield's hair helmet is one reason since it resembles Cullen's massive mop, but are people finding other similarities between ASM and Twilight?

They probably consider Spidey emo. That's all they need to draw a connection.

This is just ridiculous... if Andrew had different hair and the script would actually be similar to Twilight, people would never say that it's anything close to Twilight

It's such a stupid thing to say. The film is in no way shape or form like Twilight. Not at all. If anything, due to its love story, a certain trilogy has more in common with Twilight, but even then, that's still a little harsh on that trilogy.

^NO Spiderman movie is anything like Twilight, and lets hope is stays that way, I found the 'lovy dovy' scenes in Raimi's trilogy and the new movie quite natural also.

Couldn't disagree more with the Raimi love scenes. But that's me :)

To each his own, but Spiderman 1 and 2 were both better than ASM in pretty much every aspect for me, though I did like ASM.

ASM is better than all. I put ASM in the top 4 of CB films of all time. I found it that good. Like ya say, to each their own :yay:

The action really wasn't better in ASM to me, though everything else (in general) was.

I liked the action, but I felt that this Spider-Man was much weaker when compared to Raimi's, like his punches had little impact when compared to the other one. I feel that Tobey's Spidey would win in a fist fight.

But, while weaker, I think Andrew's Spidey was more nimble.

i like that Spiderman isn´t that strong, it adds more tention to the fight, but he is very agile:woot:

i think Tobey would win because he is buffier(i guess?)

Raimi's Spider-Man stronger? You mean the guy that couldn't knock out Doc Ock? :o Though I'm not really denying it. Andrew's Spider-Man is still in high school, while Raimi's Spider-Man already finished college. Spider-Man in his teens was weaker.

well, yeah that´s true

Him not knocking out Doc Ock has to do with pulling his punches. Though one might ask why he wouldn't try to knock him out.

Raimi's Spider-Man was stronger. But as someone else here said, I like that Webb's Spider-Man is more agile and quick.

But the action in ASM wasn't really up to Raimi levels if you ask me. There was a heavy lack of jaw dropping, spectacular action. Lizard was too slow for that.
