And Tobey does?
Tobey, atleast fit the general type, of being average height (5'8")(peters usually describe between 5'8"-5'10"ish), slim (for peter parker), fit (but, still trim and kinda lanky) built (for spider-man) and of course the dimpled chin (not that peter in the comic had that all the time, but, its a hero treat they wanted for him, I guess) and blue eyes, (though, again, peter in the comics doen‘t always feature the blues eyes), dark hair

Jake, is tall (6'), with a large (kinda bulky) built, though, he has blue eye’s and dark hair too
(I actually kinda like the brown eyes look better for parker, but, I guess for consistency they should keep the blue eyes in the movies)

Just saying

How old is Jake?

25 or 26 I believe.

Tobey looks like Steve Ditko's Peter...Jake looks like Todd McFarlane's Peter.

Heh, well said.

That's a good way to put it, but I was just saying that Tobey doesn't always look like Peter in the comics.

You mind posting some comparison pics to back that up?

The resemblance may not be uncanny...but I can definitely see it.

ya actually,he kind of does look like ditkos pete

If Tmags want to stay on for $30million he best throw his ass back in the gym and work twice as hard as he did for sm1.

agreed, i really like him but i dont think he is worth 30 mil

ya, if your talking 30 mil to get him back, that's just ridiculous, recast with someone you can get for like less then half of that, i'd rather see the money put to better use

agreed, the amount these people are offered and some want even more, its ridiculous!

30 mil is pretty high up there for anyone, I mean, that's like Brad Pitt kinda money, and Tobey is no Brad Pitt (not, that i am a big Pitt fan, just using him as an example of a big name that barely makes that kinda money)

and the thing is, their only trying to boost up the paid to force him back, he doesn't want to do it, its not like he’s demanding more money, and if he doesn't want to do it, then his heart wont be in it and his performance will show it, and we wont be getting a better performance for the money
(I mean, he is a professional, an he will still do what is required of him in the role, but, still)

Director-DJ Caruso-he directed Disturbia, and I think he could do a cool Spidey flick, especially with Venom
Peter/Spidey-Justin Long or Jake Gyllenhall or Shia Lebouf
MJ: Rachel McAdams or an unknown

hell no to shia
maybe to long
yes to jake

maybe to rachel

I do favor Gyllenhall donning the red and blue next, but I was looking at Long for the humor he can add, and Shia just because I think Caruso (who teamed with Shia in Disturbia, but everybody probably knew that) could help Shia represent the role. Have no clue who could represent MJ well, McAdams was just a name I thought of for looks. She has the potential to be a good MJ though, in my opinion.

Has anyone seen Jake in Jarhead? That's such a great movie and towards the end he does look the part of Peter.

Ive seen Jake in Day After Tommorow, where he plays a geek (kinda) who has to be brave in very harsh times. Sorta like Spidey w/o a costume or powers. Im sure he was great in Jarhead as well.

Yeah he was great in Day after Tomorrow. If you haven't checked out Jarhead, i seriously recommend it.

Even before tobey maguire was cast as Peter Parker I always thought Zach Braff was(still is) the best candidate for peter parker. He looks like him and he also act like him (and for those who ask no I m not a fan of srubs tv series):spidey:

JACK G is not bad for peter but Zach Braff is better

Zach Braff is good in comedic roles, like on Scrubs. But I dont think he is a great follow up to Tobey. I could, however, see him as being a pushover villian, like Shocker, in one of the movies, but thats still pushing it in my opinion.

Yeah Braff as a villain would probably fit best for him.

He'd be a good choice for him, or maybe Mysterio?

id picture mysterio as an older man, maybe in his 40s to 50s
