you know, who i haven’t heard mentioned in a while, who could be very interesting in the role
Colin Hanks, where’s the hanks suport, anyone

(gained, he's kinda too tall, and is only a couple years younger then tobey, but, still)

I personally think Emile Hirsch would be a great Peter Parker/Spiderman.
He can definitely do the nerdy side as seen in the Girl Next Door and its not like it would be hard to get him in shape with a personal trainer. The only thing I'm worried about is if he could pull off the comical/funny side of spiderman aswell but I think he could do it.

Minus the stubble, I think it would be perfect.

I also don't like the idea of Jake G. because in my opinion he's way too big, spiderman is supposed to be a smaller kind of guy.

And then someone else mentioned Joseph Gordon-Levitt, which although he looks the part I don't know if he's a great actor since I've only seen one of his films.

Also by the way I'm a fan of Zach Braff but honestly in my opinion he's just not spiderman.

I don't see it.

Well the first thing that has to be decided is: are we trying to keep Spider-Man younger, or are we showing him moving into adulthood and marriage and such?

ADULTHOOD.

I agree with that. The school years should be done with in the movies. THey should cast another Peter Parker for mid 20's.

I really want the Black Cat to appear and have something go on between her and Spidey, but I can't decide if it should before or during Peter's marriage to MJ.

Perhaps SM4 should start with MJ's taking a job related trip somewhere. That gives Peter some time to mingle with Black Cat/Felicia. At this time, he's working the bugle part time, and maybe a scientist or teacher part time also.

Then in Spider-Man 5, they can continue with the MJ story, perhaps marriage. After that in 6, they can show married life.

And the ideal candidate for Spider-Man shouldn't be less than 5'10''.

If they want to do a young Peter Parker, wait 8-10 years. Then restart the franchise more in the vein of Ultimate Spider-Man.

But as long as the movies are part of this series, there's no point in moving backwards.

zach Braff?? Not for the movies. Zach should only be used if they're to make a 616 spidey video game or for an animated series.

As for Jake G I believe he has the sort of physique in terms of size and definition that spidey in the comics has.

The boy meets world kid, nah....Topanga was hot as hell though.

hell no to emile, one, hes already speed racer, two, he cant act, three, he looks like a dooche

I don't know, with SM3 making more than SM1 worldwide...and counting. I think Sony will easily pony up a measly 20-25M for Tobey, and whatever Kirsten ask for. Sam is always interested to do another film. I think you all are wasting your time on the casting. I'm expecting Sony to tell what they're doing with SM4, in terms of keeping the same cast or recast, before the SM3 DVD hits.

Yeah, I really don't want to see a young high school Peter Parker on film again.

Okay, so who, other than Jake Gyllenhaal, since bringing him up now clearly won't accomplish anything at this point, would make a good adult Spider-Man? Think late 20s or even early 30s, but still Peter Parker.
