I like Christopher Lee a lot... but he'd be a distracting miscast as Chameleon. He IS too old... and his voice, though cool, is quite ill-suited to the character. Chameleon should have not have a deep, rolling voice that all of us recognize from Saruman and Count Dooku and everyone else he's played. It'd be distracting. Chameleon needs a mid-range, slightly raspy, subtly creepy Russian voice.

I don't think age is a problem, but I personally think he'd be a good choice. I also like Robert Carlyle.

Well she looks the part more than fan favorites Ali Larter and Eliza Dushku.

But Simpson is a terrible actress and really annoying to the ears. But just on looks. For the record Larter is a bad actress too though.

Y'know another bad actress who COULD look the part is Jessica Alba, but she already was miscast as the Invisbile Woman, so we avoided that one.

BTW Raimi (if he's still around) will likely go with the unlikely choice based on acting merit that fans don't see coming.

I rmeember back before Spidey was cast names like Heath Ledger and Freddie Prinze Jr. were flying around and boom it's indie superstar Tobey Maguire. Nikki Cox would be terrible as MJ, albeit admittedly Dunst is not a great MJ, but for what Raimi wanted (an empathetic, sad girl with girl next door pleasentness despite baggage and most of all CHEMISTRY with Maguire) she is okay.

Who saw Bryce dallas Howard as the shy blind redhead from The Village as Gwen Stacy?

Don't expect mediocre blonde actresses to play Black Cat (if she even shows up, which I hope she doesn't in SM4).

BTW I think now that Gwen Stacy has been introduced BC would be a lot harder to justify other than sex appeal, too though.

she isnt the best, but shes gotten better that what she was before, before she was pretty bad, now shes pretty good, definteky not the best but she isnt the worst either

Larter is not a good actress, but it's ridiculous to put her even on the same level as Jessica Simpson. Jessica Simpson can't even play a dumb blonde without embarassing herself. At least Ali Larter is servicable in the roles she plays.

I can agree with that. Larter as Black Cat wouldn't scare me like Cuthbert or Simpson would. I just don't necessarily think she's right for the pat.

But I agree with the post earlier that Black Cat, assuming we get her at all, will have completely unexpected casting that is better than anything we could come up with.

and i doubt they will cast someone better than some of the choices mentioned, they cast kirsten dunst over alicia witt for gods sakes, now alicia isnt the hottest but shes way better looking than kirsten
but im still standing by my choice

The sad part is, you geeks are picking horrible actors/actresses, just because they favor the look of the comic book characters in your eyes. These actors don't even have good/steady acting careers, they're mostly pin-ups, for teens who want to jerk off to them.
