yeah Mysterio definetly needs to make his big screen debut. Mysterio is awesome. Does anyone thing Scorpion will get his chance in the new films?

Leaving out Doc Ock would be like leaving out the Joker or Two Face. He's a quintessential Spidey villain.

Raimi at first wanted Doc Ock and Green Goblin for Spider-Man, so I wonder if Webb would ever place both villains in a movie together...could they even work in one film?

It could work but 1 villain per film is better for the Spider-Man films.

See, the thing about that is because of what Spider-Man 3 did...Raimi and whoever else wrote the screenplay couldn't handle more than one villain and it showed, but I think if the writing was good enough, a Spider-Man film could definitely handle two villains, BUT...three villains would be too much. That's why I believe if Raimi ever did a film with the Sinister Six, it would just become a sloppy mess.

Well Sandman and Venom were new characters in the series and they didn't really get a strong character development.

I think Sinister Six would work better because we already seen those villains in the past and wouldn't need that much character development compare to the new villains.

You still need development even if they were old villains, imo, such as villains meeting eachother, forming their own little evil bonds and what not. They can't just show up and that's it.

Columbia Pictures today set a May 2, 2014 release date for the sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man! This means Spidey will be kicking off the summer of 2014!
No other film is dated for May of 2014 yet.

Certain villains have gained the right to be in every adaptation. Dr. Octopus is certainly one of them.

Agreed. Doctor Octopus is Spider-Man's equivalent of Two Face in the Batman series.

I disagree. The Nolan Batman film series has shown that multiple villains in a single film can be done very well.

oh that above this comment thats just my one of my line ups. I have more with diffrent villains and variations. Like in Spidey 3 I had Doc Ock and Green Goblin team up for the Death of Gwen Stacy. And the finale film would have the Sinister Six!

For me it should be like this:
Amazing Spider-Man 2- Kraven and Chameleon (chameleon makes Spidey a wanted man and Kraven comes to hunt him down)
Amazing Spider-Man 3- Green Goblin and Mysterio as a minor villain
Amazing Spider-Man 4- Vulture and Sandman
Amazing Spider-man 5- Electro and Dock Ock's accident that gave him his tentacles)
Amazing Spider-Man 6- Dock Ock assembles the sinister six

In Venom's case, I completely agree. Venom works best when he can push Spider-Man to his limits and torment him in a cat-and-mouse fashion.

TASM: The Lizard, hints that Norman is pulling strings behind the scenes, possible cameo(?)

TASM 2: Electro, Norman is introduced properly (a few scenes of Norman's experiments on himself should be included) along with Harry, Eddie Brock is also introduced along with the cancer suit/symbiote, after finding out abouts its links with his parents, Peter ends up with the black suit...he fights Electro with it, but realises what it's turning him into after he nearly kills Electro in a battle (like in TAS with Shocker), the movie ends with him getting rid of the black suit and the cancer suit/symbiote making its way to Eddie, movie ends with Eddie becoming Venom. *It'd be cool if MJ made an appearance in this too, so it doesn't feel a little awkward when she's introduced AFTER Gwen dies.

TASM 3: Eddie disappears out of Peter's life. Peter feels as if he's being stalked (by VENUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM ;D), Peter's on the edge. An early battle between Venom and Peter (similar to their battle in USM) takes place, Peter has to leave after the police arrive. <-- This will probably take place in the first 40 minutes of the movie. Skip to Norman's lab, Norman has gone crazy from experimenting on himself with Oz(?)...after random acts of mayhem, Goblin manages to find out who Spider-Man really is and kidnaps Gwen...the final battle takes place at the bridge, you know what happens. The Green Goblin gets away.

TASM 4: Few months on Peter is still depressed about Gwen's death, MJ tries to comfort him, but he pushes her away. Over the course of the movie they get closer, main villains should be Shocker and Rhino.

 

[I'm Venom]

Amazing Spider-Man 2: Scorpion, Harry Osborn is introduced along with Norman. Eddie Brock (Jensen Ackles), J. Jonah Jameson (J. K. Simmons), and the rest of the Daily Bugle are also introduced. Mary Jane makes an appearance.

Amazing Spider-Man 3: Peter ends up with the symbiote and fights Green Goblin. Brock fired from the Bugle. Norman finds out who Spider-Man really is and kidnaps Gwen. The final battle takes place at the bridge, you know what happens. Green Goblin escapes, but Spider-Man tracks him to a warehouse and beats him to a pulp before he realizes what the symbiote is turning him into after he nearly kills Green Goblin. Green Goblin uses the opportunity to send his glider to impale Spider-Man from behind. Warned by his spider sense, Spider-Man dodges, and the glider instead impales Green Goblin and kills him. The movie ends with Peter getting rid of the symbiote and the symbiote making its way to Brock.

Amazing Spider-Man 4: Peter is depressed about Gwen&#8217;s death, MJ tries to comfort him. Only villain should be Venom.

Your ASM4 is not a bad idea; I considered the same. I decided against it, in order to be less predictable...easy story having the Sym effect Peter, at a time when he's in mourning of Gwen, and MJ unsure how to be there for him.
