Now that the movie's been released and everyone loves it, now let's talk about the DVD.

When do you think it will be released and what features would you like to see on it?

Currently the movie is estimated to be released in November according to VideoETA.

What should be in it?

Definately a making of, maybe a cast video commentary and a director's commentary. That's what I've got so far.

>^..^<

November? That's pretty quick. I just hope we don't get a standard editon THEN a special edition; and it's gotta be 2 discs.

I can see both version coming out at the same time, but I don't think it'll come out in November...Christmas-time in December sounds more reasonable just because it would seem to be a perfect time for it to come out. And I wanna see some deleted scenes if there won't be an extended cut (which I doubt there will be, so give us at least some scenes with Lennox, Epps, Fig and the other Army dudes so we can see that they at least tried to expand their stories).

Something I've never seen on any movie DVD and I would love to finally get is a blooper reel with either Bay or one of the actors setting up the scenes just before we see the goof.

As for at least 2 editions, that seems to be standard these days. A plain, boring single disk with just the movie and then a 2 disk edition with a few extras added in. Of course we have to watch out for a Director's Cut version since that's when they really get you.

I want it on BLU-RAY!!!1!11!!one!!eleven!!1!

What makes you think there won't be an extended cut? There were extended cuts for both Armageddon and Pearl Harbor. They may not be Directors Cuts but the studios love to double dip throwing in cut scenes for the sake of more money.

I'd like to see a fake Transformers blooper real...like where the Transformers flub up lines or physical bloopers.

(ie. During a shoot, Prime accidently steps on one of the actors, killing him and says oops, my bad. then the cast and crew have a good laugh)

<grin>

Lol. Yeah that would be funny.

I forgot to include 'maketing campaign' should be included as well. Classics such as Optimus ordering from Burger King and the various car adds as well.

Just a hunch, because Transformers was action-packed all the way through, and I can say that they probably took out the less-actiony, more-boring scenes out of the movie, just to keep with the intense feel. I wouldn't wanna see an extended version with those scenese added in.

BUT, if they put in more of the Bumblebee/Barricade fight, I'll be fine with that.

There was an Optimus vs. Barricade fight.

But, more or less there weren't any major cuts made. I'm usually one who can see those things from a mile away due to reading the source material prior to.

Yeah, there were obviously some scenes cut like many other movies. But, for the most part it's all in there. And it has a very good pace as is, which is probably the reason for those scenes were cut.... whereas SM3 cut out the whole Sandman family arc from the film.

Has this been confirmed as fact though or just speculation?

And probably cut out major Venom time too.

Yessir. They cut out major Eddie Brock time. There was more to his 'relationship' with Gwen Stacy, where she tells him how she really feels bout him. That was before he went to the church. Wished that was still in and they would have cut out the awful Saturday Night Fever dance number. Made u understand why Eddie accepted the suit. Cuz he did it for her.

Anyways, I'd like to see a bigger Megatron/Optimus battle. Also wanted to see more transformers in particular. (Like more Optimus, cuz I love Bumblebee. But I thought i'd like Optimus more since he's been my fav. since forever.) And I don't really want a Barricade death. Cuz I like the idea of what some people have speculated. Bout how there was a certain autobot that was undercover amongst the Decepticons.

Yeah Eddie, not Venom, scenes were cut... and wtf? Eddie never had noble intentions if you're implying that Eddie did it for Gwen. Eddie did it for himself. He felt that Peter ruined his life and the only way to exact revenge was to ruin Peter's life.

And Barricade wasn't undercover, he went right after Sam and fought Bumblebee! There would be way way too many plot holes for that to be the case at all...

Is this a confirmed thing? Link?

Lol. Didn't think anyone would think that dude, sorry about the confusion.

First poster asked what we would like to see on a DVD. And that's what I would like to see on the DVD. A look at every part of the production and a good DVD along the lines of something we'd get from WB, New Line or Sony. An off the hook look at EVERYTHING... and I'm certain the features (don't know length) will be something along those lines. I'm not sure about who and if there will be a commentary though. Just based those special features on typical features for a film of this size.

I certainly hope Paramount doesn't pull a Zodiac- I am FURIOUS over that! - Obvious double dipping.

I'd like a special edition with Welker voicing Megatron.

The hate mail Bay recieved read by William Shatner to jazz music.

deleted scenes/extended cut

and the process of design for each of the different TF's
I wanna see how... from the original cartoon designs, they arrived at the 2007 Robot designs.

The standard makings of, deleted scenes, interviews etc but I want an extended cut the most. I just hope that doesn't take too long to arrive.
