I apologise if this stretches the page but this pic is worth it:

UFC finale this weekend. The Michael Johnson fight with Nam Fam (spelling?) was action packed. His match up with that other guy (can't think of his name) who was choking everyone out ;i can't call it. It's going to be a war!

And yes, Koshek sucks as a coach!

The TUF finale should be pretty good. I can see either guy winning, so it's hard to pick one guy. Michael Johnson is your typical wrestler athlete that can cause damage and take the fight where he wants, but Brookins is well versed on the ground. Johnson has been prone to subs in the past too. I think it's going to be pretty good.

**** **** ****, I fell asleep & missed the entier event.

Glad Brookins won, he looked pretty impressive in every fight I've seen him in. Michael Johnson has looked good also but his cardio hasn't looked that great.

I read that the Nam Phan fight was a horrendous decision.. I just looked up the guy he was fighting as I've heard off him but never actually seen any of his fights, his last 4 fights have been split decisions, although not all have went his way, but my favourite was that someone has edited wikipedia & wrote that his & Nam Phan's fight didn't win 'Fight of the Night' as Dana suggested but 'Robbery of the Night' :D

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Garcia

I remember I saw Mike Russow's wikipedia before & someone had changed his to say he beat Todd Duffee by KO with a 'Doomfist' , I remember thinking to myself what the hell is a Doomfist before I remembered that Russow hit Duffee with an amazingly wierd looking punch on the ground after he'd KO'd him :D

What was Bonner's fight like? I can't recall a fight of his I've seen that hasn't been enetertaining..

Bonnar looked like he was in excellent shape and fought hard the entire way. He worked from full guard, half guard and side control throughout the fight, caused some good damage.

Pokrajac hit Bonnar with an illegal knee to the back of his head cutting it open. Mazzagatti took away a point away. Near the end of the fight Bonnar landed some illegal hits of his own. Mazzagatti took a point away. Bonnar won 29-26.

Wierd.. I'll have to try & find somewhere to see the event. I wondered why the decision scoring for the Bonner fight looked so bizzare.

Apparently the Strikeforce event was pretty good according to ESPN, I can't see Strikeforce legally in the UK so I've yet to see any footage but apparently its maincard fights were all entertaining.

If you guys missed the Strikeforce event, you should definitely look it up when you get a chance. Very entertaining card.

I was rooting for either guy to win on TUF last night; good for Brookins. His composure is what got him the win last night. Johnson was good in the first round with his aggression, and strikes but once it went to the ground, it was downhill. I'm sure Johnson will get to fight in the UFC again though.

I was switching channels between this and Strikeforce last night; Strikeforce had 3 knock out matches, back to back including the Henderson fight.

Babalou; man, every time i see him he's getting k.o!

And yes, the Nam Phan fight was a horrible decision. Those judges had to be drunk to score it the way they did...

The de-evolution of Strikeforce

I thought this was a good read regarding a handful of the fighters that fought in the last card & their history of controversy in the cage.

The article's right on some level, but feh.

Also, I think Nick Diaz will be back in the UFC at some point. I'd wager he's back before the end of 2011.

Daley is a beast! The UFC shouldn't have got rid of him for forever. BIG mistake.

Also, nice little knockout for Hendo.

The TUF Finale was pretty meh. I'm glad Brookins won, but Phan got screwed.

Yeah the judges really jerked him around.

I really don't get how Garcia keeps being favored by the judges. That fight with Nam just might be the worst decision I've ever seen in the UFC. There was literally no round that you could give to Garcia. It should've been obvious that none of his punches connected because he was swinging at air and elbows. This is the fourth time in a row that judges have been blinded by his windmilling style. He should have lost to Roop, and he somehow got one judge to think he won the Hominick fight when it was clear that he got dominated. The Korean Zombie fight is well know, and now Nam got screwed big time. Hell even Greg Jackson was like WTF when the decision was announced. Something needs to be done about bad judging because Garcia is going to win another poor decision in the future. He's only been finished once in his career, and I shudder to think that he might windmill his way to a title shot based on horrible decisions.

That Daley knockout was beautiful. Smith fell like a sack of bricks. lol

Even though I loved every glorious second of that punch he hit Koscheck after the bell, it was still a very unprofessional thing to do.. even if Koscheck deserved it.

Dana White was visibly pissed off at it because he is one of the key figures that helped bring MMA into the light & trying to shoot down any preconceptions that the sport is/was human cockfighting & that it is a respectful, safe professional sport.

That being said, hes said things in the past & upon time passing he has reconsidered his position on said matters. I'm sure if Paul Daley continues knocking people out left, right & centre & becomes even more of a profitable exciting fighter he'll soon change his mind.

Just look at Tito, hasn't won in years but still sells seats, mostly from people who want to see him get his ass beat but still..

I hate Koscheck, but he didn't deserve the sucker punch.

They were both trash-talking throughout the fight, and any shortcomings were Daley's own.

I kind of blame the ref for not stopping Daley. What do you expect a guy to do that has been laid on for 15 minutes and had trash talk spit into his ear the whole time? He should not have allowed Daley to come into contact with Kos, although, like you said, I liked that punch too. I just wish he landed it cleaner.

Daley is a destroyer. He just, like many other Brits, needs to work on his wrestling. If he had a strong wrestling base, he'd be unstoppable.

Daley is a good striker, but one dimensional guys don't cut it at the top. I think getting cut was probably best for him because he can be a champ in Strikeforce but not the UFC. The top welterweights are too well rounded, and even the good strikers like Alves and Ellenberger are good enough to hurt you in other ways.

He's still a ***** for doing what he did though. I don't care what a guy says, if you can't hit him in 15 minutes then just take your loss like a man instead of trying to get in a sucker punch like that.
