Daley is a good striker, but one dimensional guys don't cut it at the top. I think getting cut was probably best for him because he can be a champ in Strikeforce but not the UFC. The top welterweights are too well rounded, and even the good strikers like Alves and Ellenberger are good enough to hurt you in other ways.

He's still a ***** for doing what he did though. I don't care what a guy says, if you can't hit him in 15 minutes then just take your loss like a man instead of trying to get in a sucker punch like that.

He barley touched him. Yeah I know it's wrong, blah blah blah but seriously, it just looked bad for the sport, Kos was fine.

It's not that Kos was hurt or anything, just that Daley is such a poor loser to attempt that.

I personally thought it was hilarious, Daley was a total poor sport and it happened to Kos. lol

GarzaKOsPaixo.gif

From the Garza-Paixo match that was on the prelims. Brutal, Paixo wasn't moving for 2-3 minutes, he was then moving his legs but still down for another few minutes. Had to be stretchered out. Mazzagatti may have saved Paixo's life.

That is such a sweet gif. I'm glad that Paixo is okay after hearing about how long he was out.

Have you guys seen this gif of the Pace choke?

Looking forward to GSP-Kos 2, and the finale of the WEC next week.

That Aoki?! He really needs to train some wrestling or judo.

There is part of me thinking that Kos might pull off the upset. In many ways he is the poor man's GSP, and that's really a complement when you consider just how great GSP is. Kos also has great wrestling, and he'll probably try his best to outwrestle GSP since he got caught by surprise last time by his arrogance. I'm thinking that GSP is going to win, but Kos getting the upset wouldn't really surprise me because he could probably keep up with GSP more than any other guy in that weight class.

No argument from me there, E-Man. Apparently Kos was 4:1 underdog earlier this week but the lines was adjusted a little.

I imagine that if Kos upset GSP in Montreal that he would need some serious security after adding insult to injury on the mic. I bet it would be funnier than when Brock beat Mir. lol

Well, people in MTL are known to riot after Habs playoff games whether the Habs win or lose (Habs = the NHL hockey team in Montreal). So the police have probably increased numbers for GSP-Kos. Dealing with sports-related violence isn't new to them.

Kos said he hasn't left his hotel room lol.

OMG!! KID YAMAMOTO HAS SIGNED WITH THE UFC!

always loved watching this guy's fights, unfortunately when he went to try out for the Olympic team he got injured and hasn't really been the same since.

I hope he'll still be able to make an impact at 145, guy was ridiculously talented back in the day

Better late than never on Kid getting signed. If he racks up a couple of wins we may get to see some old dream matches like Kid vs. Faber, Torres, or Aldo. I don't know if he'll get past Mighty Mouse at 126 though. Mighty Mouse has been really impressive lately.

As for tomorrrow, I got GSP, Alves, Miller, Stevenson, and McCorkle.

I got this hilarious comment from someone:

I really hope Kos lays a good beating on the frenchie. I don’t want to watch another lay and pray, dry hump that you usually get from GSP, really boring to watch.
I mean someone should be able to figure out what GSP does by now. I am surprised that no trainer has prepared their fighter for this. You know he is going to take you down, get up, sprawl, take down defence…come on trainers.
Go at him Kos, be smart, and pound him. Ground and pound… Lay a beating on him. Have him ****ting English when your done.

The person used the name 'James Wolfe' to post the comment. For those who don't know, James Wolfe was the British commander who beat the French in a major battle 250 years ago, and the reason why most of Canada is English.

:lmao:

If theres one guy in the WW division that can give GSP a tough match it's Kos, while I still think GSP is the overall better fighter. Koscheck is a good wrestler & he has developed decent standup capable of dealing with good strikers to set up his wrestling.

I think this fight will be finished by someone, GSP will be eager to put on a good show & put a beatdown on Koscheck and I'm sure Koscheck would love nothing more than to KO or give GSP a beatdown in front of his home crowd. Hopefully should be a good matchup.

To be fair, though, people usually say this about everyone any certain champion fights.

I don't see Koscheck out-wrestling GSP. Could Koscheck knock him out? Sure, I definitely think he could. But, then, that was Hardy's big chance, too. And Alves's.

I wouldn't be surprised to see GSP do to Koscheck tonight what he did to Fitch.
