I think Kirkman's run has been pretty bad, but it hasn't necessarily been complete trash...

I liked the Date Night arc. Those interactions were good, for the most part. I liked that Sabretooth was revealed to be Wolvie's son. I disliked his lame 'threads' excuse for how he survived the beheading, and I disliked that the whole storyline was concluded in about one page during the Shadowking issue.

I also like the direction Nightcrawler has gone in. It's not great, but it's okay. Personally, I think Vaughn would have done a better job nurturing the homophobic seeds he planted, but whatever. Character development FTW.

The Phoenix/Hellfire thing has been drawn out way too long to the point where I'm almost sick of hearing about it. I don't even want it to be resolved... I just want it to be ignored. And anything involving The Magician might as well have never taken place. What a waste of time...

I like Cable as Wolverine. I think it's a very cool idea. But I don't like Xavier getting kidnapped and Bishop starting his weird team of X-Men. I don't like it at all... except for the inclusion of Psylocke.

I like Sinister as Apocalypse (if that is indeed the case) but I think Onslaught and Stryfe... or whoever they decide the other guy is... are pointless. Stop cramming people into an arc. It doesn't make it cooler, it makes it harder to focus on existing characters and develop them properly. Everything in good time.

Kirkman's gonna make any future UXM writers come up w/ all new villains cuz he's wasting all the 616 ones lol

no, they'll show up again and have total disregard for their last appearance...like crimson dynamo in UFF.

He's shown wearing Poccy's outfit in one of the previews, so I guess he is

thats cool, looks like it was a split personality deal then. so when sinister "killed" himself, it allowed the Apocalypse side to surface completly.

Ew. I hate the dialogue with Beast!

- Hey! Aren't you dead?
- It's a long story!
- Oh yeah, it is! Nevermind, everything is cool!

:whatever:

Actually, now that I look again and see the headline on the newpaper in the background, everything is cool with me.

Anything that is related to LOST in even the slightest way gets a thumbs up.

Kirkman's done the whole "I'll do what ever I want, even if it doesn't make sense" thing for ages. This is no surprise.

Jean could always just upload the story into Scott's brain too

Yeah, but either she won't or if she does we'll just get the same reaction from him, meaning the reader will never know.

awesome, art looks so good
except Jean. He uglied her up

the dialog with beast is too comical for the drama, but I like the way it's going!

I miss blue beast

Nonetheless, the dialogue is still awkward and ridiculous.

And, really, BKV's Sinister arc could have been summarized so much easier, so much better, than to have Scott go on a long-winded monologue.

He might as well have turned to us, broken the fourth wall as Nicieza always has Deadpool do on the recap page, and gone to town.

I was just reading the Sentinels tpb and I have a new gripe about Kirkman...

Yes, his dialogue is rather flimsy (as evidenced by Scott's monologue above). His characters are always narrating what's going on, as though he thought it would save him from having to explain to the artist what the picture should look like. It's just stupid.

"Hold on, Scott! I've just got to pour this cup of coffee. I'm pouring it... and now I'm finished. We should walk over to the couch and sit down."

But anyways, I've always hated that. My new gripe is his pacing. Jesus! In that tbp, every other page we get a shift in the location. It's like, after more than two sentences are exchanged, he absolutely HAS TO change scenes. It's annoying as hell.

I miss blue beast, too. Now he just looks like someone else. :(

Looks like Larroca finally eased up a bit and remembered these are supposed to be teens/young 20's. The art looks much better than last ish.

Yeah a lot of us were saying that back during that arc.

It's because they introduced so many characters and story lines and had no way to deal with them all. As a result they had to join direction all the time... Scott in the mansion "what's going on", jump to Bishop in base "Here's the plan" jumped to xavier in future "what the hell guys?" jumped to bunch of freaking mutant protestors, jump to other useless character..

It really was all over the place, and will be till they tie some fo this up and get an X-team as ONE fluid group of people again.

I know right? But I agree with Colossal Spoons, I can't wait!

I do remember but is Bobby one of the 10 that Sinister has to kill... he already killed 4 mutants... so there are 6 more and he failed to kill bobby (just can't remember if he is one of the 10) or if we even mentioned this 10 stuff before... god so much of ultimate run has been erased from my memory

ULTIMATE X-MEN #93
Written by ROBERT KIRKMAN
Pencils & Cover by SALVADOR LARROCA
It’s Robert Kirkman’s final issue of ULTIMATE X-MEN – and he’s going out with a bang! Has the worst happened? Has Apocalypse
triumphed? If so, there is only one force in the universe with the power to end his iron fisted reign. But it is a power of such
magnitude that its slightest misuse could bring about the end of all things!
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$2.99
I COMPLETELY forgot that Kirkman was leaving! Whats that, 6 more issues? I getting tired of hgaving to follow up on so much ****. And whats up with issue 89, whats up with SK? I still haven't gotten that issue.

I was upset about that too Spoons, but I sort of reasoned with the fact that Wanda and Pietro are his kids and in the storyline it makes sense -- so far -- but who knows what twist will come next...

Right, I was really looking forward to seeing the 100th issue of UXM be the start of an arc dealing with Magneto's return. It still might be, but it's not gonna be a secret as to what he's been up to lol
