OK as someone who been on comic book hiatus for the last 2 years, and am catching up on all my back issues....ULTIMATUM? WHAT'S IT ABOUT?

All I know is that ULTIMATE ORIGINS and the current ULTIMATES 3 storyline are suppossed to be leading into it?

At the moment i'm thinking something Scarlet Witch, Banshee Drug Dealers and Ultimate Yellowjacket related - See the last page of the last issue of Ultimates 3 if you haven't already we see a guy who looks like Yellowjacket talking about how robots will inherit the world and Antman tells the Wasp that he's their son...i'm guessing Ultimate Ultron or something.

Ugh.

If they blew it up and started over, I'd want a REAL restart. As in, they don't just start the universe over with the same characters.

Get rid of some entirely, improve others, move on. If that's the direction you want to go.

I think a restart would bring Ultimate Bishop back to life. I imagine whatever entitity "restarts" the universe is on Phoenix level. And besides, wouldn't Jean have brought him back when she set everything back a few issues ago?

All of the X-Men need to try Banshee just for sake of seeing how it would affect their powers. I hope we get to see that in the next couple of issues before Ultimatum. I'd particularly have my eye on Bobby.

If they're going to reset the universe, I'd much rather them just end it. End it, be done with it, that's it for the Ultimate U.

So optimistic about Marvel's capitalistic enterprises...

I can almost gaurantee it's coming back. I don't think they'd ever scrap a project with as many covers as this one has. It makes them money (maybe not as much as they'd like) but money nonetheless.

Here's a thought...if they did get rid of this universe, wouldn't they eventually (maybe not immediately) start a new one to take it's place?
