Looks good.

One thing, though . . .

Does Firestar fight in the nude? There are two flaming females in that fight (Jean and Liz). You can still see Jean's uniform, but if Liz is wearing anything it must cut off circulation. :oldrazz:

whats wrong with it? Its alot better than what we've been used to over on this title
Looks a bit too amatuer. I didn't wait for the following pictures to load, so it doesn't look as bad as I thought. I still don't like it. And did you see the previous issue? It's a lot better than that AND past issues.

I'm probably going to need it explained to me as to how Mark Brooks's pencils, finished by whoever's inks and colors, looks "amateur."

Every girl must have at least one picture of herself as she's making her own cleavage. :o

Where did she go after defeating Apocalypse? Find out here!

The idea that they're actually going to UTILIZE the Phoenix as a member of the team is interesting. Usually every time the Phoenix shows up (in regular MU) that is THE conflict and it doesn't last long.

It looks like Ultimate actually intends for her to be a part of the team...like...really.

Am I making sense?

Hm, that Phoenix heaven stuff looks interesting. Way to build upon and improve Kirkman's idea

Yeah, I'm liking what Coleite is doing with Phoenix, and the Silver Surfer/Heaven part looks really interesting.

BTW, did anybody notice that one of those little things behind the Silver Surfer appeared in Ultimate Origins #2?? I don't know if Marvel revealed what those are, but based on what the Surfer said, they seem to be the Ultimate Watchers.

I'm really looking forward to this issue.

idk bout anyone else but im really enjoying this new arc. For the first time inna while im actually interested to see what happens next. I loved the phoenix stuff and the appearance of The/A Silver Surfer and the confirmation that the obelisk in Ult Origin is actually Ultimate Watcher.

The issue looks very promising, but I'm not quite sure about that redesign for the U. Watchers (assuming that's what they are). It was bad enough when they were big and bald, but turning them into little totem poles? It seems a little extreme. :woot:

Wait, so those aren't Brooks's pencils? Crap, that didn't take long for Brooks to fall behind. And wow, they're really close to Brooks's art.

What do I need to explain? It LOOKS amateur a bit.

Next issue is looking promising, and I agree with Venom, this arc is really enjoyable. Now I have to go look back and see when Firestar came to the mansion, cause lately I get a comic, read it, and don't think about looking at whats been going on in oast issues.

Someone explain please, the Jean at the mansion is Phoenix and the entity that ran into SS was Jean?:huh::huh:

Nope, she's both Jean and the Phoenix, the Silver Surfer bit is supossed to fill the gaps between Kirkman's last issue and Coleite's first. I guess she has control over the Phoenix now.

You won't find it in UXM. Firestar (Liz Allen) joins the x-men in the "Amazing Friends" arc over in USM. Don't even ask who her brotherhood father is, the meer mention will cause your head to explode.

Gotcha, gotta go read over that again. Man, I haven't been this captivated by Ult. X-men in a looong time.

Coleite’s run on “Ultimate X-Men” will continue on for a time after the current arc, and the next storyline will be a spotlight on Rogue tying in into the Ultimate Universe event, “Ultimatum.”
I am really glad to hear this... Rogue has been severly underused in Ult X Men... and Coleite has been doing an amazing job so far imo... glad to see he will be sticking around after this arc... I was getting worried that after this arc we would have Ultimatium then no more Ult X-Men... but if he is sticking around, then I guess that means the comic is gonna continue...

Cant wait to see what they have planned for Ult X-Men #100.. which based on 1 issue a month, would be due in November...

I still don't get why Colossus would use the Banshee. He is very powerful as it is. I can see Angel using Banshee since his power sucks.

Because Colossus has long been relegated to the "plot tool" category?

Hmmm maybe. If i was a serious Colossus fan i'd be pissed that they changed him so radicly. He went from a artistic powerhouse who boinked Shadow cat to a drug using talentless guy who's boinking Northstar. "Not that there's anything wrong with that":oldrazz:

Go back and reread the first issue of this arc. He needed the Banshee because when he transformed into his metal form he didn't have the superstrength to go with it so he be just some regular guy with metal skin that he could barely move it. The Banshee gave him the strength to move and fight in his transformed state.

Hmm that must have slipped my mind. He never had that problem before right?

Yeah, he did. In the beginning of the first issue of the arc, they show a flashback from when he was young and they explain that he couldnt really move in his metal form because he couldnt support the weight or something.

And how are they going to continue doing arcs if Ultimatum is coming so soon?

I do believe the arc with Rogue will lead into Ultimatum; it's still up in the air what will happen to Ult X-men after Ultimatum...

Yeah but isnt Ultimatum right after the Banshee drug arc? How will they have time to do a Rogue arc in between? When does Ultimatum start anyway?
