I am glad I was not the only one that thought that sabretooth seemed a little more upset about giving a piece of wolverine to the sciencist, and the comment that my mother made did actually make a little more sense, I like that idea of Sabretooth caring about him, then the brain washing and then regreting what happened after the brainwashing.

Your mom reading comics = awesome

im ready to see a storm story arc in ultimate xmen

ME TOO, they haven't done anything with her in ages. She'll show up on like, one page per issue if we're lucky :(

She just had an arc just before Magnetic North where they introduced Lady Deathstrike.

Still feels like it's been ages. And I don't even care if she has her own arc, I'd just like her to actually do something again.

He got it at the end of the Blockbuster arc, if I remember correctly.

He's just kinda had it for a while and hasn't been doing anything about it.

I know he got it back at the end of the Blockbuster arc, I want to know who originally gave it to him.
As for my mother, she really does not read them, but I kinda left them in the car last week and when she went down to get my father from chicago they were still there, so on the wasy back she read them, then complained that she could not understand what was going on, but she did make the comment after she complained I spend to much money on them.

32 PGS./Rated T+ ...$2.99

What's the latest issue being discussed? I just read #73.

Not totally convinced with this 'Magician' storyline although parts of it are interesting. I can't wait to see what they come up with for Cable in the next few issues.

This book is pure crap now. I mean it was at its best with BKV, I loved LOVED his run. But this....this is lame.

And its sad because Kirkman writes one of, if not the best comic out there right now. Invincible.

I've only recently caught up and this issue was definitely slightly below what I was expecting. I'm hoping the introduction of Cable will give this title a boost.

Yeah me too, but I for one didn't want Ultimate Cable to begin with.

Go back and read the "Magnetic North" arc, really awesome.

I'm reading/rereading about 12 months of all the X-titles (some of which I haven't read at all yet) over the next few days so I'll definitely be covering that. I didn't realise how far behind I've fallen :(

I could be crazy but I'm guessing...his wife?

That's usually who gives you wedding rings with your name in them. You know...the people you're marrying.

Cable looked like he be Slashed across the face by Wolverine...He does look cool though..But I never had interest in these books

Finally got it. Well it was good so
He isn't really dead then, think he may come back into it? At first when i read what his powers actually where i read it again, kind of confused me lol.

Ending was a bit naf like nothing intresting really

PWN3R: Those comments are essentially what I've been saying about this book since Kirkman started on it. Date Night was awful, and this whole Magician thing hasn't been that great... not only do I think the idea sounds bad in theory, but it didn't even come out that great on paper. And from the issues I've skimmed in my LCS (which is all of them, since I've not been buying any), it doesn't even look that much like the Magician storyline has served to further the Jean/Phoenix storyline. And the Oliver art didn't help matters.

At least Colossus is starting to be written a bit better. Kirkman's gotten away from making him sound like a Russian immigrant who's trying to learn English, although the dialogue is still off. But Kirkman has gotten some respect and faith from me with, one, the interview with him about UXM (several pages back), two, the Annual (which I did like), and three, what he's said both in that interview and elsewhere about this Cable arc.. Looks promising, so now I don't think Kirkman's going to be to UXM what Milligan was to Adjectiveless. Here's to hoping Oliver doesn't make the Cable arc unbearable.

No ****, I want a name, and a face to go with it. Oh nevermind

So, I'm not sure if this was covered, but Marvel definitely messed up the release dates for the Annual and the Magical part 3 right?

Nightcrawler is going off with his backpack to set up camp in his hole, and we already talked about the Wolvie conversation at the end of Magical.

The release dates weren't necessarily messed up.

But, yes. The Annual takes place after the conclusion to the Magician arc, but was released before.

Calm down (though maybe you are).

But we haven't seen his wife, we don't know who she is and obviously that's something that will be addressed later.

I merely seemed a bit miffed since you mentioned it in the context of this issue and then wanted to know who gave it to him. As clearly (considering you did read the Blockbuster arc) you know who it is as much as any of us do.

Though, considering Ult. Wolvey is supposed to get his own book, it could be answered there.

i just assume they messed up because it wouldn't be good business to have done that on purpose.

It's not necessarily bad business. Kirkman could have chosen to write anything in the Annual, but he used it to not only tell a story primarily concerning Nightcrawler (and account for his whereabouts), but hopefully set up a future story arc for Nightcrawler.

Essentially, it's no different than an author choosing to use a non-linear form of narration in a novel. Kirkman chose to "reveal" the ending of the Magician arc before it was actually told - but, as we all found out, the ending as revealed in the Annual wasn't the entire thing.

that's true

god that arc was a disappointment. i wish i wasn't such a completist so i could drop this book!

They're giving Ult. Wolverine his own series! Oh lord, please let this be a lie. I don't think I can stand much more Wolverine unless they make his character a whole lot more interesting. Acutally, I think this book could use some good stories. It's been going down hill since the Pheonix arc.
