Not flaming you at all; just trying to get to the root of why the X-Men appeal to you. Like I said, it just seems like you follow Iceman around in whatever book he's being written in. I've just never heard of somebody being so loyal to only 1 character. Your pull list must be mighty small. I'm right there with you on the Colossus thing though.

Emma's school houses some of my fav mutants...more than Xavier's school. Like I suggested a few weeks back; UXM should be double sized w/ the last 1/2 being about Emma's kids. Either that or make the book bi-weekly and give the other school their own book. I know the idea was to keep the Ultimate Universe small but c'mon. I need some Cannonball in my life!

Didn't they do something like that not so long ago, with a small story about the boys of Emma's school and fighting crime and they kept it a secert to the one doesnt have powers

I just got 76 today. And let me say this:

Omg...(note my sarcasm) who would have ever thought that Jean(nie) would be kidnapped by Caberine. Jeezez, Cable is Wolverine, he's the only person who calls her that...DAMMIT I DIDN'T WANT KIRKMAN TO CRAP ON THIS STORYLINE! Kitty and Ororo want out, good for them. They don't have a storyline and its a waste of their fanbase's time watching them collect dust. Kurt is a vegtable, Peter had two or three panels, and Cyke had the 2nd best dialoge. Seriously instead of killing one person in this arc just kill Kitty, Ororo, Pete, and Kurt. Nobody will notice. I mean after all for the last three years all the storylines have been centered around Cyke Jean and Logan.

I'm tired of this sh**. Bring on the death, so I can upload this bs a torrent.

Y'see... This is prescisely why I don't buy every issue. And like "Goddess" mentioned, why put up with buying it if it's centered around characters you aren't interested in (Wolverine, Cyke, Phoenix).

If your store didn't have it, then how do you know there was no Bobby and Rogue in this issue? Because there clearly is.

I don't think that both [BLACKOUT]Kitty and Ororo want out, just Kitty[/BLACKOUT] and that probably means that she'll be the one to die, because that's a big foreshadowing plot device that usually leads to that characters death.

I think the team roster after this Cable arc is going to be what's on the cover of UX #75: Cable, Cyclops, Colossus, Jean, Storm, Rogue & Iceman.

I won't be getting this arc until Jan, but from what some of you guys said, Kitty wants out and Nightcrawler is pretty much out of it. It doesn't mean Kitty is necessarily going to die, but maybe she'll just leave the team. Nightcrawler may leave or escape when all is said and done. Wolverine isn't physically present with the team on that cover either, so I'm thinking he may be the one that bites it. I mean technically Wolvie would still be on the team, if Cable is really future Wolvie. The only thing is Wolverine's death wouldn't be sad to me; I guess it depends on how it's written and carried out. It might be interesing to learn how Wolverine came to be this white-haired, mercenary.

Wolverine can't really die... Unless there is lava or acid around that they can melt him away with he can't die, he'll just heal any wound. Also Wolverine is too big to be killed off especially if they are going to do an Ultimate Wolverine Origin mini in the New Year.

Wolverine will never die in any incarnation of an ongoing title that won't be reversed in a month or so.

God, I hate Wolverine. Why wont they kill him? I mean sure, some kids love him and THEREFOR they should keep him in the 616-books. But, please take him away from every x-book there is. Astonishing x-men did a great job by putting him in the shadow and becuse of that he became interesting. Maybe a "death" here and then we learn his origin and next year we see him being one of the horsemen of Apocalypse. But just let me have some Wolverinefree time now. R.I.P bub...

That would've been cool if he died then over the 100th issue they do Apocalypse and have Wolverine come back as a strange horseman and only reveal who it is late in the arc. But if a horseman popped out claws no one would care coz everyone and their aunt has claws in the Ultimate Universe so it wouldn't have such a shock till they saw the horseman's face. By the time the face is seen the game is over coz the Hype would be buzzing that "Oh the horsemen is Wolverine." and the other half would be "Nah it's just another person in the Ultimate Universe with claws." So when Wolverine is revealed everyone for one reason or another would be "Oh UXM has jumped the shark..."

That statement right there is why I cry myself to sleep at night. Same goes for Marvel's other cash cows, Spidey, Cap, and Hulk. Nobody should be above death...NOBODY.

Cable is Wolverine: I've pretty much accept this. It's the Ultimate Universe and it's the ultimate "just because".
