So I take it this book still sucks? Pity. I've been meaning to get back into X-books.

But, seriously, who can Kurt take down? Why, anyone, probably in a variety of "Why the heck would that X-Man be that stupid?" ways, up until Kirkman wants Kurt to be taken down, in which case we'll all be saying "Why the heck would Kurt be that stupid?"

Exactly. The way they took him down last time was pretty inane. Does Ultimate Colossus have some kind of built-in radar so he could calculate exactly where to punch through the earth to hit Kurt? Not likely. And why didn't Kurt just teleport away after getting knocked over?

I can't say I'm disappointed in this development since I didn't have much hope to begin with. I'm just impressed with just how many screw-ups can be done within so few issues. An insane Kurt could have been awesome if he was written with care and subtlety and not as a flat-out villain. That kind of issue should never be written as black and white. It's also ridiculous how the artists are now portraying him as LOOKING more monstrous than before. The cute blue kid has turned into Frankenstein. Because now he's Evil, see. It seems they're targetting 9-year old kids.

And, really, if Scott was written the way he should be (ie: tactician and leader), Kurt wouldn't be even a minor problem. Scott might not get all the hits on him, but he'd sure limit how much threat Kurt would be. He trained and fought with the blue guy... wanna tell me he wouldn't know how to take him down fast and hard?

Bah, Claremont made Cyke miss a depowered 'Ro at f****n point blank range in UXM 201.

Ever since, it would seem everything's fair game when it comes to Cyke abuse. Oh well. :woot:

Refer to the fight between a visorless Cyke and Cable. :woot:

What fight are you talking about?

Hey now. She got her just desserts back. She will forever be known as Mrs. I-can't-use-my-powers-in-space.

Besides at least Cyke hasn't yet married a man that was to busy having jungle sex and making sure he didn't help physically, let alone tactically, in fights. Or, as Sebita put it, become Marvel's biggest cheerleader and nearly killing his creator.

I swear that 2005-2007 was Cyke and Storm's worse year ever for any incarnation of their characters. :csad::dry::cmad:

Well, yeah, but that's still not quite missing a grown human at point blank range. I mean, Cyke is the Bullseye of the mutant world. His screwed-up brain makes him one of the best marksmen out there.

That would be like Storm missing NY with a tornado. :woot:

Beats Firecrotch, I guess.

Agreeing 110% on the cheerleader thingy.

But for some reason, I'm starting to chalk it up on karma. The universe getting back at CC for his godawful latest run on UXM and X-Men: The End. :woot:

Which means that in a couple years down the line, someone will have a blast destroying everything Kirkman ever tried to achieve in Ultimate. But then again, that one qualifies as a tick in the WIN collumn. :woot:

Touche, touche. :cwink:

You know, sometimes I almost feel bad about the Firecrotch jokes. Yea, let me say that again. SOMETIMES and ALMOST. :woot::oldrazz:

That last run of his wasn't all that bad. Sure it was been-there-done-that, and bland. But it wasn't awful. Like JERKman's Ultimate work.

And I am all for a win notch. Or at least a scratch. Something...anything, please. It's getting dusty on that side of the stick.

For about, what, 1.8 seconds? :woot:

Well, Ultimate's the worst current "major" x-book IMO, so I didn't even bother to include it in the equation. :woot:

But yeah, I suppose godawful might've been somewhat of a strong word. Still, I've read all the issues once and will never ever feel the need to read them again. No, wait, there was that one issue with Emma owning Firecrotch Jr., I mean, Rachel. :woot:

Wasn't nearly as painful as reading Kirkman's clusterf**k of a run, but oh well...

Hahahahahaaaa Firecrotch Jr!!!!

Wait, I like Rachel. Oh wells. That doesn't make her a Not Firecrotch Jr. LOL!

Yea, I remember that. You know what. I am not surprised that scene took place in a hot tub either.

Le sigh, CC is still a dirty old man. Gotta luv 'im.

You know what would be great. CC on Ultimate X-Men! Yes! Wait noooo. Cause no one will be able to write after him giving all the characters steroids. :(

Actually, I kinda like Rachel too.

It's just that I still haven't recovered from her "romance" subplot in the current UXM arc.

I mean, making it out with some guy after two days while in the middle of what will no doubt turn into a serie of massacres??? I mean, what, was it some tribute to movieverse Jean or...?

What's up with Brubaker and having the two x-women go all lovesick/hormonally crazed on us anyway? Just... the hell? :wow:

Eh. :woot:

You guys are rude :p CC on Ultimate wouldn't be THAT bad. X-treme X-men was AMAZING...with a capital A:woot: I don't think he'd put this run to any danger, as it already is. With Kitty now being the bootylicious WOMAN who for some reason wants to leave the school now because "she's just a kid", Bobby being the school "pimp", and Storm being the useless background character, the run could be 10000000000000% better.

X-treme was better than his recent UXM runs but it wasnt amazing. Id give it a 6.5/10 and thats mainly for Larocca's amazing art which was the best of his career

I give it a 9/10. Plus the art. And I LOVED the roster. Besides Storm, Bishop was a major upper for me. I wish those two would have hooked up though :csad:

*just says no to CC on Ultimate*

He's been sucking butt on just about everything I've read from him lately. No thanks. :(

Welcome to the Hype, stars. :D

Make that 6/10 and maybe 5/10 on CC's last UXM run.

And we're not being harsh. The old man's become the Metallica of the x-writers.

Used to write great entertaining stuff, but now, it's... huh... let's say not so good for the sake politeness. :woot:

But as someone pointed out, Kirkman is basically the lowest common denominator so far, so I guess CC wouldn't be as bad. Not really better, just not as bad. :woot:

But, seriously, who can Kurt take down?

That's one huge blow to Kurt's self-esteem.:p

No one in UXM is written the way they should be, maybe except Peter.
Just finishing reading UXM until #77, I almost had a heart attack.
Whoever directs this series needs to be put in jail.

You got that right. Storm isn't nearly close to her goddess aspect like 616, Jean flips out here and there (which isn't any different), and Iceman isn't maturing at all (I know thats always been in him, but it's like...ALL THE TIME).

Wait, who suggested CC on UXM

*shudders*

Actually, that was just Goddess and I cracked jokes about CC completely destroying some characters by going the Mary Sue/Omega route. :woot:

And just for the record, I'm surprised Storm fans aren't requesting 24/7 for him to take over the title and turn Storm into the 616 powerhouse - yes, that's me not using the word goddess, to hell with CC and his creepy worship, powerhouse should've been it - that she is. :woot:

:csad: Your hate for Storm is very annoying, and sad. Do us a favor and stop finding a way to bring useless bashing into every single thread.

Then quit it with the useless worshiping. Fair is fair, after all.

You don't see me going on diatribes on how OMG Cyclops ROXOR every 3 posts, now do ya? :woot:

And for crying out loud, if I've said it once, I've said it a hundred times. I f****n love vintage Storm from her pre-Mary Sue days. :whatever:
