Wait, what the hell did I miss here? Bobby is dead now? If that's the case, I have no further interest in this book.

Sorry guys, I haven't been following this book as I use to, because of Bobby's lack of development. The last thing I remember, is this Magicial character deceived the team and held them captive. Otherwise, I have no clue what's going on right now...

Reading a book b/c of one character is never a wise thing to do; as they can easily turn you off completely to the entire book. Sam, Bobby, and Cable are the main reasons I read X-Men and I'm not "unhappy" with either of their characters.

I am looking forward to the next isue, I think Ultimate Cable sounds interesting. I wish this book came out every two weeks instead of once a month.

I dont know. I think it's the clone that was mentioned in the 'Date Night' arc. Wolverine may seem a bit of a jerk, but I don't think he's dumb enough to kill his past self. I'm thinking it's the clone that's been sent back to kill x-men.

no, a main character will die in issue 78 and we were speculating as to who it was. i read ultimate fo bobby and rogue- my money is on kitty to pop her clogs!t:

It wont be Kitty, she not only a main character in X-Men, but also on in Ultimate Spider-Man. They wouldnt have let Bendis put her in if she was going to kick the bucket.

that means nothing- her death would affect both comics and give us a chance to see something else in spidey.She's been doing nothing in ultimate x men recently.

None of the other characters spark my interests, so what would be the point in wasting my money on other characters I don't care for? Although, I see your point in supporting the product.

Still, it's not enough for me to follow the book religously.

BTW - So is it true that either Bobby, Rogue or Kitty might get killed off? ... If it's Bobby, I'll buy that issue.

From his first encounter with the Sentinel in issue #1 up until his envolvement with Longshot's rescue was the last time I followed the book. After that, he became a background character once again. None of the other characters spark my interests, so what would be the point in wasting my money on other characters I don't care for? Although, I see your point in supporting the product.

Still, it's not enough for me to follow the book religously.

Wait, you don't like any other member of the team? The Ultimate X-Men team consists of almost every important X-man. It sounds like you don't like the X-Men, just Iceman.

Killing Ultimate Beast is the worst mistake EVER. The only Beast I was really happy with, and they had to %&/$!ing kill him.

Bendis made him into such a prick that by the time he did die, I didnt care

If a character dies I hope it is for a good reason and not done for shock value.

If I had to choose someone...maybe Kurt redeems himself by sacrificing himself. Nightcrawler is one of my favorite X-Men, but not so much in Ultimate. Iceman has had plenty of cool moments in UXM, I'd miss good old psychic chrome dome, same with Colossus, and Rogue and Kitty are too darned cute.

That would be interesting to see Storm die, nice idea lol.

Why does that cover give me the odd suspicion that the person that's going to bite it is cyclops? Then again, covers can be misleading. If it's supposed to be something "emotional" that they're going for, I can't really put my finger on who it would be that would make a lot of a difference. All I can say is that with the current trends in Astonishing, I REALLY hope that cyclops doesn't die in this one..

I mean, first X3, then the astonishing crap, and then here... I'd really have to say that people would seem to have it out for him..

Now that I think about it, I don't think it's going to be Storm who dies. I think that Kirkman is desperate and stupid enough to make Bishop and Storm related.

God if that's not the most sterotypical thing ever...well second most, anyways.

It'll prolly be Jean. Only so they can start her lather rinse repeat retcon cycle, again.

I haven't read Ultimate since Vaughn left, frankly. I don't like all this stuff that Kirkman's bringing in now. Phoenix, Cable...wasn't the whole purpose of Ultimate to get rid of that?

they stripped him of his powers and chances are it's not so long before someone comes in and winds up saying "hey, he doesn't have his powers, he's not useful... get rid of him".. Part of which I feel is due to Whedon making this change so close to the end of his run...which I think would really suck...

SO i'm not quite sure if he's getting the spotlight anywhere just yet.

This just hit me last night, We saw Xavier teaching in X2 and X3, I don't think we've seen any teaching in UXM at all but still Xavier is a Professor, but a Professor of what? It's probablly they same as 616 but even then I don't know what he was a Professor of.

Not flaming you at all; just trying to get to the root of why the X-Men appeal to you. Like I said, it just seems like you follow Iceman around in whatever book he's being written in. I've just never heard of somebody being so loyal to only 1 character. Your pull list must be mighty small. I'm right there with you on the Colossus thing though.

Emma's school houses some of my fav mutants...more than Xavier's school. Like I suggested a few weeks back; UXM should be double sized w/ the last 1/2 being about Emma's kids. Either that or make the book bi-weekly and give the other school their own book. I know the idea was to keep the Ultimate Universe small but c'mon. I need some Cannonball in my life!
