And guys, I think the Callisto having the power to track mutants in X3 is not canon. I think they just summed up Caliban's powers with her because they were kinda tight and could not afford another actor to play Caliban.

its not hospital its the medical wing of the mansion i think

1.he was psychologically scarred by weapon x and he was relieving his experiences in his dreams.
2. he had a crush on dazzler so when she woke up from her coma je kidnapped her pretending that the x men had split and were in hiding. she believes him but logan smells dazzler's scent on nightcrawler so the team follow him to get her and nightcrawler tries to beat them all up. Rogue touches him, her absorbing power returns, nightcrawler out cold and kept that way by xavier's psychic powers.

I just read #79... and u know what... i actually think i really really liked it!!!
By far one of the best Ult XMen's in a LONG time.... Sooo many loose threads from the last 20 issues or so were starting to be mentioned again...
Almost all of the main cast had some really good stuff in here, I especially liked the Shadow King part, i cant wait to see what becomes of that.. especially since it seems like it's gonna pull Storm back into being a major player.... And YES, i loved the new look Emma Frost... she is starting to look much sexier (as she deserves to be) than when she appeared before... & Based on the cover for #80, and his scenes with Sabretooth in #79, i guess Wolverine will go in search of his wife!!!

Magneto's plans... YES... I am soo glad he is back, and up to his usual tricks.

i cant wait to see what becomes of his... Ooooh... for the first time in aaages (years!?) I can't wait for the next issue of Ultimate X Men!!

No action in this issue made it all about the characters, and that worked excellently!! I just hope that Kirkman can keep up with this...
For me, all that was missing was something from Mystique, since she too had a past with Charles....

So, what did all of you guys think!?

And as for my theory on Charles death, yes they confirmed the bones were his, BUT, whats to say that they were not his bones from the future and that he is still alive in the future... and will probably find his way back at some stage too...

Wow, who saw that one coming...Storm's play is about the Shadow King. Oh wait, lol, it was a little obvious when it came out of nofrigginwhere and when she wouldn't let anyone else read it, so the reveal would be "shocking".

But wait! This could lead into more devolpment for Storm. Oh wait, did I just say Storm. Nah, we can't have that happen. This will probably be another fake out like Cablerine, Phoenix, The Magician, Bishop, or anything else that Jerkman has written.

I am not looking forward to that man doing anything else with Storm. He's already off to a crappy start. Storm becomes emotionally weighed down and cracks at the funeral, and not a cloud in the sky, not a drop of rain, not a bolt of lighting. What is it now Jerkman hmm, are her powers no longer tied to her emotions. Wait wait...I forgot who I was asking that question too.

As for the funeral, the cameo's were to be expected, but Kitty not even staying for it. Please.

On the upside one more issue until Oliver's "art" takes a hike.

Oliver didn't draw this issue... or 77 for that matter though he did do 78. Didn't Paquette take over already? Unless I missed something.

I can't stand how Paquette draws Kitty. The line was "I'm just a kid!", spoken from someone who looked thirtysomething.

Besides Jean finding out Kurt escaped, the rest of the story sat on plain stiffness. Don't know if Wolvie will search for his wife or not, but I do know that it'll put the X-men in a ruff spot with one of the adults gone. And Shadow King....the play? HA! Can't wait to see what thats about. Hopefully it won't be as "sudden" as Ororo bursting from nowhere screaming "Why Xavier?!", without a single dark cloud in the sky. And it looks like Bobby's just a lil' ol' pimp

Well, I'm sure this is very very old news to everyone here (so don't feel obliged to respond) but I just started reading Ult. X and felt like this would be a good place to talk about it.

The 'World Tour' arc (including the Gambit issues). What did everyone think of it? I have mixed feelings. I thought most of the art was terrible (specifically the battle against Xavier's son). I had to stare at some of the pictures for like two minutes to figure out what was supposed to be happening. Same thing in the Gambit issues, both of which felt extremely rushed. How did Gambit even know anything about Hammerhead again? This series seems to be very hit and miss already for me.

Move on to the Return of The King, New Mutants, and Magnetic North arcs. They're a lot better. I think you might being talking about Bachalo's art...and yeah, some of it's terrible. When I think of this series, I think of Kubert and Finch's art as standing out.

It was ****. The only good part was the art...which isn't that fantastic, but it is better than Oliver.

I dunno. I didn't have many issues with the art, but Oliver's art had been getting better. And this guy drew a few panels where Scott and Jean were talking, and Scott's head looked about five feet wide.

Otherwise, I flipped through the issue. It was in my box, since Ultimate is still on my pull list and will likely remain, but the issue wound up on the shelf. After the Cable arc, as I said, I won't be purchasing more. Jerkman (<3 Goddessreicho's post) isn't going to fake me out again. As soon as I opened to the panel with Storm's play, I stopped paying attention, and I think my brain might have tried to turn itself off. I'm not too sure.

Um, I thought the art in this issue was dreadful. I'm not an Oliver fan in the least, but his art is still better, IMO.


The mouths and eyes in this issue were just God aweful.

What's up with Storm and no brooding storm fronts?
What's up with Sabertooth's face? He looks more like the guy that played in the series Beauty & The Beast back in the 80's. (roll eyes)
And I totally agree about Scott looking like he was drawn with a really distorted face/head. Geeesh... Emma looks ok, but had B**ch written all over her.
Didn't really care for the pushy stuff with Peter and Jean Paul.
And Bobby look funky too.

Guess these days anyone can draw or write for Marvel.

Somethings just not right in this universe anymore.

I did kinda get a chuckle out of the ex wife and new girl friend thing at the services for Chuck. "glad to know he died happy" , o-k sure... hmmm
especially when he had just anounced he was "in love with Jean"...

Charles sure was in charge (with the ladies ).

At least we have can all sit on the edge of our seats and wait for the release of the[BLACKOUT] Legacy[/BLACKOUT] thingamajig.

With JERKman writing I highly doubt it will be what it was in 616.

Nah, I liked Oliver better. Paquette was too scribbly IMO.
