I'm starting to like this book again, but the art was odd in this. I'm not liking how this artist draws Bobby, with the two weird locks of hair from the side of his hat. Also, Jean and Storm's boobs seemed to grow disproportionatly throughout the issue. Storm looked like she had two different cup sizes at once in one panel.

Well, at least there's something to talk about Storm in the Ultimate universe. Heh.:ninja:

Yeah! Ororo got a secondary mutation - breast shifting! Oh joy! -_-

No he didn't....He introduced his as a project of Weapon X and Wolverine in the annual presented what exactly Kurt was going through.....he saved colonel wraith from the Helicopter to prevent storm from becoming a "monster".....something he knew quite well.........Rogue reaction after reading his mind elaborates on that....and him crying when rogue leaves does show theme's of what Millar introduced..........Kurt is not crazy at all....he knows what he did at weapon X and puts on act for people to like him.....he just wanted Dazzler......and the way he acted on what he wanted wasn't the best way....

This confuses me. Are you refering to issue 45? If so, I didn't see her when she shot lightning at that helicopter (saw a scan on the net, thats how I know), but I did see her destroy that sentinel...?? Are their 2 different versions or something?

Hard to say if I like any drawer in UXM, I still like the old X-Men style, like Jim Lee one, I even like those spandex, even though they would look hilarious in real life.
you didnt like Kubert's art? I think his was by far the best for this title

The Kubert brother who worked on early UXM is my favorite of the two... I just can't keep their names straight. It was Andy, right? The same one who did 1602 and is currently working on Batman, I think. Funny that his art apparently wasn't liked, since I think he's the one who's heavily influenced by Jim Lee.

Kubert and Immonen are easily my favorite artists during the life of this title.

One thing though is that Jean said first they lost Colossus and now Logan, but thats not right bc she forgot that Kitty left as well, just before Colossus did

Well Kitty whined and complained her way out of the mansion so they don't even care to mention her. I know I sure couldn't care less lol.

issue # 12...storm was quite angry

The Kubert that you're thinking of, the one who worked on the very first issues of UXM (1-4) is now working on Action Comics, not Batman.

I know Kubert's art is better than most of others in UXM, I guess I'm just still tyring to get used to it.

My favorite artist on this title was Kubert with Finch being a close second.

oh I forgot that both of them drew for this title. I meant Adam Kubert who drew the early stuff. I love his art better than Andy as well. I actually think this book has been lucky with its artists from both Kuberts, Finch, Bachalo and Immomen. Its only after Immomen left that its started to drop in quality. Coincidentally, thats also when Vaughan left and Kirkman took over. I dont mind Paquette's art but Raney is terrible IMO

I prefer Raney over Paquette and early Oliver. The Oliver art we saw during the Cable arc wasn't as godawful-horrid as his earlier stuff (ie: Date Night).

Immonen was so good on this book. It's sad to think how fun this book used to be.

#80 was definitely a step in the right direction though.

Oh yeah, first decent issue in a while. Ultimate Pyro is pretty interesting.

He (Pyro) kind of reminded of Ult. Electro with all the burns and stuff.

I guess I was remembering Adam, as someone pointed out. I have to dig my early UXM trades out of the boxes they're currently in so I can have a look. As it goes, while I was mistaken about who drew primarily early on, it is Andy who I prefer over Adam. Andy did 1602 and is currently on Batman, and he's the one I like more. That said, I liked Adam's UXM stuff too, but I think it's his newer stuff that I don't dig.
