Or Ultimate Age Of Apocalypse. These are good ideas but with the sudden outburst of characters, some of the old Ultimate X-men members probably won't have a good share in those crossovers/arcs.
Or maybe they will and it could be the start of a sceond X title. We don't know anything right, so it could be anything.

^Well I know that, I just saying IF we were to have a crossover or arc or something like that.

I Just reread my 81...and am I the only one who thinks Ult!Sinister isn't dead?

The fact that Mastermind was walking by at teh EXACT moment his 'dead' body is found was highly coincidental in my mind.

This is actually possible, especially with Bishop "forming his own X-Men".

It'd be interesting to see who was on it and what he'd call it.

I'm seeing...Bishop, Storm, Colossus, Angel, and Longshot.

Considering Lonshot is, ya know, evil, and that the others know it, I doubt it.

There won't be a second Ultimate X-Men title. You've got to hand one thing to the folks over at Marvel, they've kept the Ultimate universe contained to a handful of titles, and I doubt Joey Q is going to mess with that now.

I was thinking Mastermind made them think they saw it.

True. I just wish they'd stop teasing us with Emma's school and Bishop's team.

Seems the X-Men will probably be at the heart of next year's Ultimate Crossover Bananza...

MARVEL CONFIDENTIAL
Marvel Comics held a major creative summit in New York City this week and Wizard was there! Get the inside scoop on what’s coming up from Joe Quesada, Brian Michael Bendis, Jeph Loeb, Ed Brubaker and many more!

Ideas were flying fast and furious on New York City’s East 55th Street this week as Marvel Comics gathered its top creators and editorial staff to break down the comics excitement for the next year and beyond at the company’s semiregular creative summit.

Wizard attended and got the following juicy morsels from the participants:

WIZARD: What character or project are you most excited for coming out of this summit?

J. MICHAEL STRACZYNSKI (Amazing Spider-Man writer): “I have to say the discussion we had about the Ultimate Universe and what’s going to happen with Reed Richards and Magneto in a project Brian [Bendis] and Jeph Loeb are working on.”

DAN SLOTT (Avengers: The Initiative writer): “I think I showed you Mutant Zero, the mysterious mutant who’s a new member of the Initiative, and that’s who I’m most pumped about. Who is Mutant Zero? Who knows? I know! You know! It’s cool, isn’t it? Nobody is going to see that coming!”

GREG PAK (“World War Hulk” writer): “I’m really excited about the discussion we had about ramifications for Dr. Strange coming out of ‘World War Hulk.’ There are enormous things going on with Strange that I think will be really fascinating.”

JOE QUESADA (editor-in-chief): “I’m still really excited about Spider-Man and all the new stories we’ve got coming with him.”

MARK PANICCIA (“World War Hulk” editor): “Hercules. I think Greg Pak really does a great job writing him in Incredible Hulk [during ‘World War Hulk’] and hopefully we’ll see more of him.”

STEVE WACKER (upcoming Spider-Man editor): “Venom, for all the reasons I can’t say. I’m also really digging talking about next year’s big event.”

TOM BREVOORT (senior editor): “[Laughs] Brian Bendis. I’m very excited about Brian Bendis and all the work he’s going to have to do in a very short amount of time to make all our plans come off. All the plans that stem out of the ending of New Avengers #31 have got me excited. We mapped that out pretty completely over the next 12 to 18 months and how it’s going to build and interact with other titles. As far as the Marvel Universe proper, that’s probably the biggest thing going on. I think we got some good headway on plans for the Ultimate Universe too.”

AXEL ALONSO (senior editor): “Besides my own books, I’m also very excited about the plans for Ultimate X-Men, because it’s something I’ve wanted us to do for at least a year. That the plan to get there is interesting is just gravy for me. The launch pad for Ultimate X-Men for the future really intrigues me. No matter how we get there, it’s a home run. I should actually be worried because I edit [the X-Men titles] and I’m going to have some stiff competition.”

ED BRUBAKER: (Captain America writer): “I’m really excited for all the stuff they talked about doing with the Ultimate Universe. As much as everything was really interesting, as a reader, I’m excited to see that.”

BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS (New Avengers, Mighty Avengers writer): “It’s going to sound selfish because it’s the stuff I’m working on, but I’m very relieved and thrilled that for the big event I’m working on, the plan stayed in one piece the whole time. If it survives this, it will survive. I was also getting a little concerned about lack of planning for the Ultimate Universe, but now that has been fixed and there are genuine awesome plans for the next calendar year with me and Loeb. For those who needed it, this will revitalize interest in the [Ultimate] books, and for those who haven’t been buying, you’re going to get some nice payoff. I’ve invested a lot of my life in the Ultimate books and to see them living for another year in such grand fashion is a big relief to me.”

JEPH LOEB (Fallen Son: The Death of Captain America writer): “I think what we have in mind for the Ultimate Universe is going to blow people’s minds. I knew I wanted to be involved in the end result; I didn’t know the lead-up would be something I’d be involved in, but working with Brian is going to make a lot of sense. We want to restore the ‘wow’ factor that unlike in regular continuity, anything can happen, and there are a lot of surprises left in the Ultimate Universe.”

Between what JMS and that Axel guy says, you can tell UXM are going to but right in the middle of whatever is happening next year.....Magneto + Reed Richards are at the heart of it all, too....hmm....

Apocalypse? The long-awaited 616-Ultimate crossover? Onslaught?

^Wow, me excited! I guess I'll have to continue with this title, because I muself can actually see it being a better book than it is now. Ultimate Mr. Fantastic?

Ult. Mister Fantastic and Magneto...an odd combination.

Seems the X-Men will probably be at the heart of next year's Ultimate Crossover Bananza...

I really don't want a 616 crossover!

If there was a 616 crossover. I'm pretty sure half the 616 universe would hate their ultimate counterparts.

Except Ultimate Reed Richards and Iron Man would be vice versa and hate their 616 Evil Bastard versions.

WTF! A 616 UM crossover! Are they insane? What's the point of having a "brand new universe," with "all new stories" and " without 40+ years of continuation," if they are just going to merge. That's just...I-I have no words to explain my fury, if that happens.

I can share your frustrations but think about it, in the whole Marvel structure, universes exist, so a 616 meets Ultimate isn't really hard to conceive IMHO. after all, with all the forces present in both universes, producing a temporal rift would actually make everything believable. I for one would love to get a reaction from Scott finding out that Ultimate Professor X has a crush on Jean and *hopefully* will kick his perverted ass, lol. I can dream, can't I?

If this actually happens, this crossover might be worth...

i can imagine a lot happening in the jean /cyclops dynamic if there was a 616 crossover. It could be very interesting

I'd rather not have a crossover, but if there is one, it'd better be fantastic and earth-shattering.

I agree with Pickles. Iceman would find himself just the same as his 616 counterpart on the other hand. And what about Ororo? WAYYYYY different.

Speaking of Storm, I think I'd wet myself if I had those Shadow King nightmares like she has been :csad:
