I loved last issue. Aron Coleite can stay on the book all the time he wants if he keeps writing like this.

- Cyclops can control his optic beams, but how can he fly now?
- Dazzler is using her powers in that stupid way Claremont had 616 Dazzler using them, creating tangible things.
- Sasquatch is Rahne Sinclair
- Nightcrawler can teleport anything just thinking about it
- Angel can fly... ok, he did that before, but he's lame. I hope Coleite has him doing something more original.
- And Vindicator is somewhat related to Rogue. I don't think it's Gambit, because I don't think he would react blasting her. Some characters that pop into my mind... Magician (I hope it's not him) and Juggernaut (maybe because of Jubilee calling him Vinnie (I know it's from Vindicator)).

Kurt threw a dagger at Sasquatch; like Blink.

I just got this info from over at comicbookresources message board. It's a discussion about Ultimate stuff, Dave Finch is on there and he basically let's the cat out the bag. Supposedly Ultimatum= death of a whole lot of characters basically summed up as the end on the Ultimate Universe. Here's the link:

They really are hyping this thing to be "the end" of this universe but all I smell is a huge retooling and rebooting of the Ultimate Universe. I just hope that I like what I see after all is said and done.

Hmm, you could be on to something. Whether it be something that we won't like, at least Aron is doing something different. When is Ultimatum anyway?

I think Ultimatum will be this huge fight involving all the ultimate characters and some powerful entity. At the very end; once there's a ridiculous amount of deaths; this entity will give the heroes the option to "restart" their lives from a certain point or either die as a universe or just deal w/ the F'ed up state everything's in.

They'll choose to restart, the ultimate books will take a break for a few months to a year, and every book will restart at #1

Ultimatum, according to what finch said, is going to take place in October or November.

I have a feeling we're in for a lot of shock value deaths; I feel if they must kill of characters make it interesting and something that will impact the Ultimate Universe. Here's my death list:

-Wolverine(yeah I said it; he's got to much exposure as it is)
-Xavier
-Magneto

U Fantastic Four
-Reed

Then, going along with early rumors of merging UFF and UX, the new team would be:

Cyclops
Invisible Woman
Iceman
Human Torch
Storm
Thing
Marvel Girl
Toad

Just an idea I had awhile back and I even came up with a name for the group: The Watchguard; the rest of the X-men and other survivors of Ultimatum would pop up here and there in mini's and future story arcs.

Even though Cyclops is getting a push in the 616 X-titles, I get the feeling that he may just be on the chopping block for Ultimatum. it usually tends to happen to my favorite characters.

Thats very interesting. I would love for the Ult. X-men and FF to merge teams! They'd have some pretty heavy hitters. I still wanna know whats up with this Phoenix stuff though...

Onslaught led to Heroes Reborn, which was a freaking disaster, from most fan's perspectives.

Heroes Reborn was basically what you're propisng for Ultimate. Everything "reboots."

Only bad things can come from that. Fix what's wrong with the current Ultimate universe. Don't just hit the abort button and start over. That'd be embarassing, and I'd be done with the few Ultimate books I still bother to read.

They'd probably do it to make the Ultimate books friendlier to new readers. I know if they did go through w/ this, I'd start buying all the ultimate books instead of collecting them in trade....I'd even start reading USM.

As long as they have good, solid and interesting material after Ultimatum.... I'll be collecting the Ulitmate stuff... I would like to see Storm make it through though, seeing how she's my favorite X-man of all time.

Okay, just to digress a little. What the HELL is happening Ultimates 3. Pyro's a member of the Brotherhood and is talking about killing Valkyrie.....Erm didn't anybody tell the idiot writer that Ultimate Pyro is an X-Men?

As far as I can tell it is, same outfit and burnt skin. The Ultimates and Wolverine are battling Magneto and his brotherhood and Pyro is part of them with no explination. The personality is totally different though. He's cold and heartless. Talk about a 360 from the Xavier dream following, goofy and slightly insecure character we had during the Apocolapse arch. As bad as it was I thought how they revamped his character was really interesting.

Oh! and Masterminds with them, since when did he get out of the Triskelian? Thought he was suppossed to be still faking that he's Magneto.

I kinda hope so too, because it might be the only way to salvage this horrible Ultimates arc. It's going too fast. I can't believe it only has one more issue.

I know this is a stupid reason, but I dont want Ult. X-Men to end, or restart at #1, because i love it that I have the whole collection from #1 all the way up to now... almost at #100!
