yeah... issue 74 is out in September 2006... so issue 100 will be 26 months after that... so 2 years later... = October/November 2008

Did I not read somewhere (more than liekly in this thread) that issue 80 was supposed to be a major Phoenix issue!?

they really took a major crap on the whole phoenix story. its seems really dumb. issue 100 better be awesome. spider-man has the clone saga.

Just read #72:

1. Colossus is back, drawn much better, and performing feats of strength again.YES!........only to have his arm broken later

2. That whole fight was pretty much just to show of Elliot's skills against that Hulk Jr. If he can just reverse people's powers liek that, the X-Men will never have to break a sweat ever again.

3. Jean's one crazy broad.

Im still sticking with my theory that Magician is actually Proteus and that he's the one thats making Jean see those demons.

Well what happened to Proteus at the end of that arc? I could deal with Proteus b/c the Ultimate Universe shouldn't have people that aren't 616 characters.

He was supposedly killed when Colossus dropped a car on him while he was possessing Psylocke's body, yet a few arcs later it was revealed that Betsy survived and was able to possess the body of a comatose woman. So if she could find a body and survive so could Proteus.

1. We don't know Magician did that.

2. Proteus was barely able to control Betsy's body when he was killed let alone alter something that big.

I don't think Magician is responsible for the goblins Jean is seeing. She has been seeing them since well before Magician ever came along. Anyone else getting a reference to good old Madeline Pryor here? The Goblin Queen? I wonder if they're planning on doing some sort of Inferno-esque storyline with Jean?

Y'know, it's kinda nice to see that maybe, just maybe, some of the stuff I had problems with is starting to come together. Well, possibly. I still really hate Magician, but maybe Kirkman will do something neat with him in the end - something so groundbreaking, so BRILLIANT, that we all (at the same time, mind you) smack our heads and say, in unison (because of being at the same time - geez, stay on track here), "Well, geez, slap my ass and call me Suzie!"

Cable could be neat, could really suck. Depending on how this Magician stuff ends, could be neat, could really suck. Depending on where he goes with the Phoenix stuff, it could be neat, could really suck. Sure, we can say that about all stories, but it sounds pretty true here. Maybe I'll start picking up the issues now that Olivier is off.

Dude, I'm so happy he's being drawn properly again, it'll be at least 2 more days before I complain about his characterization

Now that the Phoenix fiasco arc is kinda over, I'll start up again with this arc and see how much I like it. #72 was good, the Magicboy is cocky ain't he. Then again look what he can do, so I guess its warranted.
