So according to Ares in the new Dark Avengers preview, they "bested" the x-men in the final battle in Exodus....guess that answers that....

Is anybody else tired of the heroes ALWAYS loosing in the MU nowadays, or is it just me??

It's fun when it's protrayed as part of her character, not in the story itself.

I loved this issue. I was kinda worried fraction wasn't going to pull through but he did.

I loved the art Iceman and moonstars scenes were beautiful

Emma in diamond form seems like a rehash of what happened to Psylocke in Psi War. In order to contain the Shadow King in the astral plane, Psylocke had to shut down her TP for fear of risking letting him out. Now in order to contain Void in the white room, Emma must shut down her TP and remain in diamond form for fear of risking letting it out.

As far as the issue goes, it was pretty amazing. I have to say I was impressed by Dodson's art. Usually Im not a fan but this was probably his best work here. Very good art. The best part of the issue for me by far has got to be Moonstar leading the New Mutants, repowered as a Valkyrie and single handedly kicking Are's azz. I hope this isnt temporary and that her repowered status spills over into New Mutants. Im not so sure though bc she mentioned that they were borrowed from Hela

I can do without the Mythology part.

I really like it more when mutants were just born with a twisted/mutated DNA.

well Id prefer for her to get her mutant powers back as well but as of now she doesnt have that mutated DNA and the valkyrie part is actually a part of her history. I prefer her like this than wielding guns as she was shown to do in NM (which seems off for her character). The valkyrie powers will definetly come in handy during the Necrosha arc if she has them in there. Her "death sense" will be going off the radar with all the newly resurrected zombies

Not quite the same, she's not keeping the Void prisoner as he went after the Sentry (and apparently caught up with him), only a piece of him was left behind, which would apparently not be healthy for her if she left the diamond form. It's more like what happened with Xavier when he absorbed a piece of Magneto's mind which later caused him to turn into Onslaught. (Hopefully we'll be spared this. Ugh!) Also similar to Torn where a suggestion left behind by Cassandra Nova turned her against the X-Men.

I would think Moonstar's powers were only a one-shot deal in order to take down Ares, but she might perhaps retain some of them so she can serve Hela better when she's called to do so. Which she will be.

ditto. i really hope the Valkyrie powers stick. that was an awesome New Mutants moment. and then Iceman vs. Mimic and the New X-Men dogpile him. im a little confused how they took down Daken. did he run into Armor's shield?
