The only speedster I really want to see on the team is Quicksilver. Its about time he joined the X-men
that doesnt seem to have much of an effect on Wolverine in New Avengers/X-force, Storm in Black Panther, Angel in X-force, Karma in New Mutants, etc...I totally agree with you !! But he is now busy with the mighty avengers line up
Firestar would have been good in Astonishing as a replacement for Kitty. She has heated history with Emma that would have been great to have seen played off in an ongoing. Firestar went into retirement bc she didnt want to register with the SRA, but she's a mutant and can claim asylum with the X-men. That would be one way to get her active again.I'd love to see Quicksilver on the X-Men. Firestar, too.

One word: Elixir.
i dont think his writing was the problem (though i didnt read the Ghost Box mini), its just that it took forever to finish the first arc. Whedon had the same problem but it didnt start until 'Dangerous' and he's a better character writer so i was able to forgive him more.I wish Ellis's Astonishing came off as good as his Thunderbolts was.
Finch is starting to follow in the footsteps of Larocca and Bachalo in that his earlier material used to be erally great but he's now gotten worse over time. His work on New Avengers was one of the best at its time of release but he's been slipping. His art still looks good but its not what it used to beI'm not a fan of David Finch. He over-renders his pencils, if that makes sense.
yea id prefer one artist to a title, but it seems everyone is running themselves thin and missing deadline. maybe putting two artists per book is a good idea as long as they have similar styles.Heh, I remember asking if people wanted revolving artists on all the books last year, and people seemed to want to keep them at one:

Finch's work in Ultimatum was a little depressing. I think once an artist gets a little tenure with Marvel, they start to phone it in a little. In Larroca's case, however, I'd say he's just experimenting with his style. His characters look totally different every time he pops up. Finch and Bachalo, however, are clearly drawing in the same style, but not trying as hard (or in Finch's case, maybe trying too hard).Finch is starting to follow in the footsteps of Larocca and Bachalo in that his earlier material used to be erally great but he's now gotten worse over time.
