Some superheroes are unique and different, that's what makes it exciting. Is Joe Johnson, the director of Captain America, getting upset because his supersoldier will interact with a god/immortal? I doubt it. Favreau isn't running the show, Marvel is. It's their baby.

EXCLUSIVE: Sam Raimi Confirms Bruce Campbell Will Have 'Meaty Role' In 'Spider-Man 4'

As we reported last week, much about "Spider-Man 4" is still in flux: Gary Ross is currently hard at work on a draft of the script after getting notes from director Sam Raimi and they claim they're still figuring out which villain makes the most sense to compliment Peter Parker's character growth in the picture. What's more, beyond the return of franchise stars Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst, few decisions about the cast have been made.

All of which makes comments that Raimi's buddy Bruce Campbell made last month extremely interesting, when he told Access Hollywood he'd have a major role in the new film.

When MTV News had a chance to talk to Raimi, of course we needed to know if Campbell was speaking the truth. After sneaking into cameos in the first three "Spider-Man" flicks, has the "Evil Dead" star really nabbed a major part in the fourth installment?

As soon as I asked Raimi this question, he burst into laughter, as you can hear if you click on the video in this post. "I promised him we would write something because I really love putting him in the pictures," he then said.
"I promised him a good, meaty role."

So there's your confirmation that Campbell will indeed have a significant part in "Spider-Man 4." But might that mean he'll play a villain—possibly Mysterio—as some web speculation has suggested? As of now, nothing is set in stone.

Of what role the actor will eventually play, Raimi admitted, "I don't even know what it is yet."

He's played some right gritty characters in shoot 'Em Up, Sin City and Children of Men.

Kraven is supposed to be a virile good looking man as well. In the first season of SM and his amazing friends Firestar is very enamoured of him and is cravan' some Kraven, which of course leads to her being held captive in a cage. He may be a looker but I don't think he's that confident of hanging onto the ladies once they get a whiff of his conficting jungle odours.


Re Wikipedia. I think either someone from these boards or someone reading them is updating wiki with rumours. Folk over on the TDK sequel boards noticed that the top choice of their poll, Marion Cottillard, has had 'Catwoman rumoured' added to her wiki page.

We really have no official announcements, but as someone else said, Sam is going to start the casting soon, but that was about a week ago.

IMDB said that Rosemary Harris would be playing Aunt Carnage in SM3.

Exactly.

Just the fact that we know Iron Man/Favreau's world will be interacting with a norse god from a magical/fantasy type land already establishes that these films and especially The Avengers film, won't be set in a realistic type of world.

I say bring on the Skrulls for The Avengers film.

As for the rumour with Owen as Kraven? I can see it and wouldn't mind that casting but I can't believe this rumour unless it becomes official.

If its Skrulls I hope they go with some kind of Galactus cloud. Foreshadow it or something, maybe have the villains hinting at the Skrulls. I just don't like the choice though. Unlike Kraven, who is the villain I want for SM4, I figured I'd get screwed with the pick for the Avengers villain, should this turn out to be legit.

i for one would like the consistency to continue. so they should bring on Lizard as a villain/hero (hero to help out Spidey with the real villain) and the real actual evil villain should either be Electro or Carnage. i lean towards Carnage more for consistency reasons to continue the symbiote saga and have a possible return of one of Spidey's greatest foes...Venom.

During a passionate struggle,Peter turns Doc Connors into Lizard. Lizard hands Jonah some gloves to become Electro and they both become Lizard and Electro. MJ falls pregnant by Robbie and has Kravens baby. Kraven angry at Peter and MJ for having affairs joins with Lizard and Electro. They become the Sinister 6.
