Bruce as Mysterio is WRONG. He is just one of Raimis cameos. Like he was in Darkman. Like that white and cream car. IT HAS BEEN IN EVERY RAIMI MOVIE. If Bruce and the car get bigger roles as villains IM BOYCOTTING THIS MOVIE.

JOHNNY DEPP SHOULD PLAY MYSTERIO.

I can more or less see the villain being Mysterio. I mean if the carjacker is coming back,what point does he have with Lizard or Kraven? Mysterio bringing him and others back who have died to psychologically torment Peter makes more sense.

I would like Lizard and Kraven as the villains,but you can get a far more interesting and exciting movie from Mysterio.

Also,whats going to happen to the Osborn Estate? Someone is bound to find the Goblin stuff...HOBGOBLIN.

Beck has encounters with Spiderman and comes close to killing him with the movie props and is commited. Peter becoming suspicious of the new Oscorp owner,investigates him and Jason Macendale decides to get rid off Peter. In true Goblin style (as Jason has used the gas) decides to play with Peter before killing him. To cover his tracks and avoid raised suspicion,he manages to obtain Beck. He transforms him into Mysterio and gives him everything he needs,weapons, hallucinating gas,robots,etc. To destroy Peters mind and life.

Csuse Johnny is an awesome actor. Very theatrical and Mysterio is the most theatrical villain.

Lizard is the obvious choice. Like all of the other villains, he would have a personal connection to Peter. Plus he's already been very very well established as someone Peter has a relationship with.

If Kraven were to come to town hunting the Lizard, Spidey would naturally want to get involved to protect Connors from Kraven while also protecting the city from Connors. I don't know what kind of arc you could give Peter and MJ but the basic story is right there. Plus you could set up the return of Kraven for Spider-Man 5 in Spidey 4.

It works on a lot of levels.

I think it's been said that Papajohn isn't coming back. He said that he was kidding and that everyone took him seriously.

I completely agree with all you have said... this story answers all your questions, including Kraven's return in a future film.

Again... Bruce having a major role in SM4 is the equivalent of him being a lab assistant, knocking over and spilling vials of enzymes and Lizard DNA, on the lab table, while no one is looking. Quickly wiping the spilled mixture into Connors coffee mug, and craftily, sneeking out the lab as if nothing happen. Connors drink from the mug, call it a day, goes home and fall asleep on the couch, toss & turn, turn into Lizard. And at the World Premire, Bruce reveal his major role was creating Spidey's new nemesis.... in a comedic way, once again.

To be frank...I really dont want Lizard in the movie. I have Spideys best interests at heart. I honestly dont believe you would get anything interesting from the Lizard. Their would be no decent interactions between him and Spider-Man. If he is a mindless beast and his only story is just eating people...It wont be any good and theyll be NO chance of the movie topping TDK at all. Spidey chasing down Lizard for a good duration,isnt going to be spectacular and the movie will have to rely on soap opera. Whereas Mysterio...has tons of means to make an awesome movie. He has so much to offer. He can mess with Peters life in any and every way.

Totally agree, even though I like Lizard very much and still think he would be cool on screen, I think Mysterio is an overall more interresting villain.

Lizard is a great villain. But I dont think he could pull of a good movie plot. I just imagine 4 being lmore of Jungle type movie if Lizard and Kraven are both involved. You can get awesome stuff from Mysterio and he can generate a great story.

I disagree.

The animated incarnations of spider-man that have featured the lizard as the main/only antagonist have been well-recieved brilliant stories not to mention the highly fantastic stories from the comics. If the character and story is well written and has the suspensful, compelling drama and thriller qualities the spider-man movie should have the lizard could potentially be the best villain and be in the best story of the series. Additionally, sm4 shouldn't aim to top TDK and that is everyone's first mistake who thinks that is what sm4 should do.

The priority and focus is to tell a gripping, engaging and exciting story. Topping TDK in terms of quality is a matter of opinion.

Mysterio causing loads of stuff to happen to the city. Creating killer robots. Turning NY citizens against Spider-Man again. Messing with Peters head. The possibilities are endless.

What do you mean with "did you even..."? Why should he feel the need to? You're advertising your own story all the time like it's the most awesome thing this year or something. It's a wall of text that takes hours to read, why take the time to read all that when you can do better stuff instead?

If you have a point to bring up regarding his thoughts on Mysterio or any other villain, please don't refer to your wall of text all the time and pick out what is relevant instead. I'm sorry for being harsh, but you remind me alot of a guy over at IMDb called "The Big X" who did the same thing and it's annoying.

Well since you put it that way...great story. But I hope the movie is as good as that.

Thanks... I appreciate it. Just illustrate that Lizard and Kraven could carry and produce a very good movie as the film's antagonist for Spiderman. With good writing, imagination, some mature themes and realistic situation, and not being afraid to flirt with a r-rating, can produce not only a special effect gem; but have a very entertaining, suspenseful thrilling, and slick film as well.

Mysterio is more of my cup of tea though (Im English lol).

He has lots of things to offer. I would love to see scenes where people who have died come into Peters imagination to haunt him. Scenes from the past movies included,then have them altered and Peter cant tell whats real or not. He fights menacing Robots and monsters,tearing through the city. He has his sanity messed up. So sometimes YOU dont even knows whats reality and whats Peter hallucinating. Mysterio is capable of a variety of things...So much can be used with him.

For example. Peter enters his apartment and he ends up being being back home seeing Uncle Ben still alive. Then Ben blames Peter for his death. Then being tortured about the death of the Carjacker, Harry,Norman, Ock and Eddie. Then has imaginations of MJ and Aunt May hating him or being killed or something,which he believes to be real. Just **** his mind up,lol.

As I said, I really wanted the Lizard to be in this film, but honestly, I say go with whatever's best for the film. Heck, I still pretty much believe that guy over on IMDB. I mean, he seems like he's telling the truth. I mean, Tombstone would be a very New York centric Villian, if you think about it. I wonder what he'd look like on film? Same for Electro. My god, I'm getting super excited just thinking about it.

If Kraven was also in, then you could make the movie interesting. You could have a thriller plot with Kraven trying to get both Spidey & Lizard. While, Spidey has to save Lizard & stop him at the same time. It could be interesting, if done right.

Introduce the spider-slayers for robot battle action and have Jameson finance a "true" superhero by creating the scorpian suit for whoever.
