Just FYI, when I interviewed Craig Kyle he said he's good friends with Geoff Johns and he has a ton of respect for him.
It must sting a hell of lot, to know that his friend is more talented than he'll ever be, because we all know from his outside work that Yost is the sane semi-talented one.Just FYI, when I interviewed Craig Kyle he said he's good friends with Geoff Johns and he has a ton of respect for him.
I didnt like it. I thought her 90s costuime looked better but Im guessing this will be her default for now. Anyone else notice that it looks alot like Lorna's old Acolyte costume? That instantly popped up in my head when I saw itHighlights were:
Jean's new costume.
I agree that it's getting better, but it took issue 5 for me to start warming up to it. I'll hang with it for a while longer, just see what's going to happen with my boy, Gambit.just got my copy of XMF 4 in the mail and I must say this book is getting better and better.
Highlights were:
Scott and Sabretooth...very reminiscent of Early Scott and Logan. Here Scott is a leader and bad ass without sacrificing his morals.
Jean's new costume.
Beast's old look....im a fan of the old monkey form
Sabretooth rising from the sewers in the same pose Logan had when he infiltrated the Inner Circle during the Dark Phoenix saga
is there anyone who thinks this is better than the established continuity? personally, im finding it hard to believe this really what Claremont had in mind to write for X-Men issues 4-9- Jean and Logan's love affair, Storm betraying the X-Men and killing Logan, Kitty "becoming" Wolverine, Sabertooth being Logan's father, Sabertooth joining the X-Men, SHIELD playing big brother and keeping the X-Men in check, revealing preteen Ororo is a seperate person, and revealing the use of mutant powers actually decreases your life expentancy....all in one arc. i just can't help but feel that he's being radical for the sake of being radical and distinctly different from everything that's already happened since he left 18 years ago.
and where were Colossus, Iceman, Psylocke, Archangel and Jubilee? and arent Nightcrawler and Kitty supposed to be with Excalibur? they were all on Asteroid M (minus Nightcrawler and Kitty) when it blew, and that chase after Cortez starts right after the end of X-Men #3.
No, I don't think it is better than what we ended up with. It's like a What If? to me, mildly entertaining, but not as good as canon. Much of what I loved about Gambit and Logan came after the starting point of this series.
weve seen two. a blue and yellow x-uniform that looks pretty boring,So what does this new costume for Jean look like?
well Storm was reverted back to a child while the X-Men were in Australia and then disassembled. im still cloudy on the details, but during X-Tinction Agenda she was seen in Genosha as a mutate brought back to age, and then when all was said and done she rejoined the newly rebuilt X-Men.Hm, I don't like 'em much. I hate Gambit's look. Rogue and Storm look good, though. Is that Sabretooth on the team? And what's this about Storm betraying the team and killing Logan?
he said it was his 'birthday present'. i kid you not....despite Sabretooth having been attempting to kill Logan himself for years?
thats what im saying. It sounds like Claremont is just cramming as many of his old ideas into each issue as possible, regardless of how jarring or out of the blue it might seem.
