So I've just recently heard of this run - what is it?

Is this a continuation of the regular "X-Men" run (I notice it's in it's 200's, and I know "X-Men" went from "X-Men", to "New X-Men", back to "X-Men" - I'm thinking now it went to "X-Men Legacy", is this correct?)

I'm looking to get some subscriptions, and I might look into this one.

X-men became X-men Legacy with issue #208. Basically its now an Xavier solo series. The basic premise consists of him facing demons from his past and the supporting cast changes with each arc. Currently Gambit and Rogue are in the book with him. Great if you are an Xavier fan and care to read him as the leading character but personally, I find the book boring and dont think he can carry a series

hopefully the format ends...but not the book itself...and that the writer moves on as well....then again, we might get another fun arc with fringe characters

Don't do it to yourself. It's so boring you will want to shoot your head out.

I dropped X Men after #204, the Mystique and Bobby situation was gross, Rogue getting shot and leaving was the last straw. I picked it up when she came back. As for what is coming next carey says it will continue to be a solo book with a back up 'team'. It will focus on characters the regular X books ignore. He also says Rogue will face the new Ms Marvel in July.

I'm pretty sure Specter said that the "Legacy" phase of this book was ending soon, but that the regular numbering would continue. :)

this makes it sound like an extended X-men Unlimited

Really? Why bother? :p I think when they do crap like this it just confuses people. :(

I would say that -- if Gambit was on that team. But I don't think it's going happen any time soon. :(

Sinister "fixed" him. It was all done off screen and not talked out besides in passing. How weak....

Seriously

Maybe Sinister could "fix" Warren. I like the change, just wondering if it could be done lol

I don't mind Warren so much right now. I like him kinda nutty (I was a big fan of the Fallen). I just would have liked some nice coverage of Gambit's retrofit and how much it cost him. Doing what they did kinda cheapened the whole thing, unless that was just to sweep Milligan's horrible mistake under the rug....

Does Carey just not like team books? if anything he should be doing what Fraction(love him or hate him I like him.) is doing just with the characters that aren't in Uncanny.

if he wanted to write an X-men book about individual characters they could have just given him a bunch of one-shots and minis to write.

X-Men is a team
X-Men Legacy's legacy is going to be the X-Men series that wasn't about the team.

Maybe it's just too many characters for Carey to deal with and give them proper justice. :(

Carey should be in heaven..plenty of D list characters out there that he could string together and make a team.

as far as Warren and Death...so I guess Wolverine, Gambit, Sunfire and Polaris will all suffer horsemen relapse in the future at some point? Well not Sunfire, as he is still benefiting from the experience

I sure hope Gambit doesn't. Green fart gas? That's an episode best forgotten. :(
