Uh-oh.. I was hugging and kissing all over it.Kaleb said:I had the same sort of problem last yr and it was cause one of my sticks of ram was currupt. might also be from overheating.
Nope, and nope. I haven't installed any new programs in a while, and I wasn't messing with the guts. It happened a few times over the last couple of days, and when it does shutdown the light is on and I can't click the restart or power-on button, I have to switch off the power to restart it. It doesn't happen constant, it's like a 2 out of 5 type deal too.black_dust said:Were you messing with the insides of it before this problem started? Installing anything new latley?
pure cold water on itDOG LIPS said:The heat thing could very well be an issue as it's now running fine, and it started fine, since it's cool in here now. I'll have to keep it as cold as I can tomorrow afternoon to test it.
Yeah, I just checked, it's running just fine.hunter rider said:Sounds like overheating, have you checked your fan is running correctly ? a broken fan gave me this problem last year

Philly Phanboy said:If the fan is working fine, you might want to try using a vacuum cleaner and/or a can of compressed air to clean out any dust bunnies.

Where can I find a nippler?DOG LIPS said:It does it about 2 out of 5 start-ups, and it did it once after I had been online for about 30 minutes. It usually happens while loading the desktop, just shuts down completely. I ran fraggers and checkers and nipplers, but nada.
