It would be tough for me to get it since I'm stationed over here in the Middle East, maybe when I get back stateside I can download it.

Alan Wake is really good, I played through it multiple times. The only thing that was kinda upsetting was the fact that the game is rather short but I'm pretty sure that Remedy will end up making a sequel to it.

I heard that too. How short is it? Are we talking 10 hours short, or 6 hours short? Is there any replay value to make up for the length of the game?

I would put it at around 7-8 hours. Not a whole lot of replay value overall, unless you're into achievements, since there's a lot of collectibles that unlock those.

I guess I'll have to borrow it from a friend, or wait until it's cheap. I don't like spending too much on games I beat quick.

There's DLC to continue the game afterward, and the first episode is free if you buy the game new (it'll come with a token), if that helps at all. Though, you would still have to pay for the next DLC packs.
