Is The Incredible Hulk a vague sequel to Hulk, or is it a full reboot?

Besides, there has to be an origin and all of that, correct? I mean, it can't just start off with Hulk running around with no reason why he is doing it, right? It HAS to be a sequel, right? Hulk is going to be considered "vague" history, right?

 :csad:

its a reboot but it starts of with Bruce already being the Hulk, like in B89, when Bruce was already Batman and we get the origin later in flashbacks and stuff.

It's a re-boot. Completely forgetting Ang Hulk. It's the beginning of a new story that has nothing to do with the 2003 Hulk. New actors, new director, new writers, new Hulk and best of all New Origin that is closer to the comic.

OH

...so Spider-Fan930 was right.
Mucho thanks everyone.
Mods, close thread.

I know how you feel, man... :whatever:
but it's the business! More "BANG!BANG!" less characters and story... otherwise people will say "Noo... sooo boring! 40 minutes to see the smash!... it's terrible! Nothing can be worse than this and bla bla bla bla"

This does sadden me, I loved The Hulk :csad:

I actually look forward to it a bit less now due to that.

Yes, me too... but I am also hopeful that they aren't going to contradict at all the first one... leaving us(first one fans) the possibility to look at this(new) like a "vague sequel".

FULL REBOOT

New actors, new directors, new look, new direction. It's not like they're redoing an origin film though either so that's the best way to describe it.

FULL REBOOT

^ It's when you take your boot off and put it back on...all the way.

Well that sucks. I like the first Hulk. Considering this is only 5 years apart it will also be confusing to audiences if it contradicts the other movie. Batman Begins had 2 things going for it: It was an origin movie, making it easier to seperate, and it was 8 years since the last Batman movie which, believe it or not, most people forgot. This is kind of cutting it close.

The Hulk will stand alone now as a unique work of art

For all the talk of this cast.... I really hate to say it, but as inacurate and off as it was..... I loved Nolte, he did a great job this movie and A thin red line are testaments to just how evil that ole man can play, things like that make Hulk different from other comic book movies

The Role of Stryker in X2 works on that eevil basis, but it isn't as repulsive and dark, loathsome to humanity

No character in the increadible will comand so much interest in such a small amount of time on the screen

all freakin' true!

Well if the first movie didn't contradict the comic and confuse and bore the hell out of the audience it would have gotten a sequel. It did and it ain't. :oldrazz:

How can it be a full reboot if it starts in South America where the first film ended???

WHY REBOOT?? I did watch the hulk 2003, it sucks? come on please waste money film hulk then now incredible hulk ... i don't get it why do reboot not need it just mind change diffence action, design hulk, etc but why reboot?

Just because it starts in South America doesn't mean anything. It is a whole new story. This is the plot summary from IMdb.

Depicting the events after the Gamma Bomb. 'The Incredible Hulk' tells the story of Dr Bruce Banner, who seeks a cure to his unique condition, which causes him to turn into a giant green monster under emotional stress

It say nothing about Gamma sphere, nano meds, jelly fish, lizards or star fish.

oh... is the IMBD the place where Rosemary Harris was accredited as "Aunt May/Carnage"?
