I wouldn't be surprised if Gaga's advisors we trying to tell her how bad this cinematic universe has worked out for others. And I honestly wouldn't blame them for doing it. She stands to gain nothing from being Black Canary, other than a big fat pay cheque which WB will no doubt be wanting to offer her.

Maybe, but on the flip-side the two lead female characters featured so far in the DCEU have been very successful. And she'd be appearing with one of those.

I guess I wouldn't mind Gaga but I am not counting on it because of the logistics of it. Signing up for a superhero franchise requires some sort of multiple film commitment, Gaga not only has her music career but the potential success of A Star Is Born, which could open up a variety of acting offers.

Filming for BoP starts in early 2019 with a January 15 set date.

The curious thing is, that Lady Gaga has differences concerts in Las Vegas, who starts in late December 2018 until November 2019(these are her show dates: January 17, 19, 20, 24, 26, & February 2, 2019 and the rest starts in April) and it looks like that she has calculated some time off. So if she wants a role in BoP, she can do it. She actual can do the Jan and Feb dates, scheduling around her show dates and filming BoP.

I really hope she gets a role. That would be insane.

Gaga sounds more like an executive idea rather than a director idea, and not a creative decision by the particular team making the film. It is a lofty goal to get Gaga, but it might just be too lofty, and be more about stunt casting. It sounds like one of those initial ideas the studio executives get excited about but the usual outcome is to come back down to Earth. I think WB should focus on getting the story right, not spending all their energy and budget trying to get Gaga.
