I hope it’s Max Mercury. Just because I love that name lol. It’s so pulpy and cheesy. I was unfamiliar with the character before but I’m interested now. Plus it’s a cool way to get a speedster involved while avoiding the Flash for a little while.

Well looks like WB and Discovery are basically just wiping out the merger completely. Pretty much divide along the old lines except Discovery gets CNN and TNT Sports International if I read right.

Unfortunately per Variety:

As previously announced, Warner Bros. will be led by president and CEO David Zaslav, currently president and CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery. The TV-centric Discovery Global will be headed by Gunnar Wiedenfels, currently CFO of Warner Bros. Discovery, who will serve as president and CEO.

David Zaslav is a big part of why we got the new DC Universe with James Gunn and Peter Safran at the helm.

Warner Bros. is also having a resurgence this year thanks to back to back hits such as Minecraft, Sinngers, Final Destination Bloodlines, F1 The Movie and Superman.

As controversial as his tenure may be, Zaslav is breathing some new life into the studio after Kevin Tsujihara almost ran it into the ground first and AT&T was turning it mostly into a streaming company.

I'm not particularly fond of Zaslav, but credit where credit is due. The man decided to go all in on theatrical (and DC) and 2025 has been a nice showcase of it.

Flash and Aquaman ended the DCEU. Dont need them for the moment.

This James Gunn DCU is still incomprehensible . Just illogical. Since DCEU doesnt transform itself into DCU

DCEU still exist, with batAffleck becoming batClooney. How Peacemaker and Waller from Dceu can be integrated into Dcu

Trying to rationalize, through comic book folklore like multiverse, what's just a fluctuating schedule of projects is pointless.
Even before he was in his current position at the head of a new extended universe, Gunn had already started his little DC sandbox with TSS, Peacemaker, and CC (which had already been written). He may be making a few tweaks here and there to smooth out some transitions, but the reality is that he probably doesn't care as much about these little details as online fans, who are obsessed with a retroactive coherency between projects that simply doesn't exist.

The bigger aspects of the DCEU are so deeply irrelevant to what they're doing now but if people wanna confuse themselves, more power to em lol

I think if we bring back Margots - Harley, given where the character is in her journey, bring us Gotham City Sirens.

If it isnt Margot, then Id prefer to go backwards with the character and do some Harley/Joker and expand from there.

people point to Margot and Henry as examples of great casting in the DCEU, but I couldn’t disagree more.

I think Margot Robbie is a phenomenal actress but I really don’t think she is a good Harley. It never felt quite right and she had plenty of opportunities. Same goes for Cavill.

Meanwhile Corenswet turns in one performance as Superman and he’s immediately up there with Reeve. Gunn’s casting has been pretty solid so far, and I want a new actress as Harley. The temptation to keep her on would be how big of a name she is, she also has a ton of pull with WB so I won’t be surprised if she stays on.

I thought Margot was phenomenal as Harley but that's me. Gunn has gone on record previously stating she's the best actor he's ever worked with. I honestly think he would love to bring her back but the ball is in her court. We'll see.
