It's mostly their looks, but I can tell from the trailer that their personalities are off. The only one they seem to have gotten right is Piccolo.

Anywho... you'd be surprised. I think audiences, demented as it is, would like an old guy who's a martial arts master AND a pervert, always fancying himself a pick up artist of sorts.

Just look at the fanbase Ledger's Joker has created. That says to me that people don't care how sick and twisted it is, as long as it's a fun deviation from the norm.

Too bad Fox lacks the perception I have.

I know. What's funny is that some of these posters in here that have nothing contribute usually just mock the other posters that they disagree with. They know who they are, too. I never said I knew the outcome. I never said it was a fact.That was kaypain's stupid assumption. Maybe her and JoseMP are related?

Based on the trailer, I'm certain that they've screwed up some of these characters. That's my opinion and I'm sticking with it.

I think it is simply coincidence, because positive assumptions sound more logical than the negative ones, possibly because they are less articulate. For example:
A Positive prediction- From the way Bulma talks and stands, one can assume she will be the witty, smartass babe from the comics.

A Negative prediction- From one or two lines Goku says that happen to occur right after his Grandpa's death, one can assume he will be a Negative Nancy throughout the movie and hate fighting and life itself.

Now I'm not saying that it's never vice versa, where positive predictions are stupid and negative ones are sadly logical. I do notice some logical negative predictions are cut down, which is kinda stupid, although I admit doing it, myself. So I definitely see your point about that.
