OnLive to make PC and console online gaming obsolete, says IGN

I just started today with logging on. It is pretty smooth, I played Arkham Asylum for about 20 min.

My connection at home is like 1.5/M which wasn't cutting it, but I'm on Purdue's campus using their connection now on a Mac, and latency is pretty much non-existent. If that Fraps thing works, let me know and I'll screencap some also.

It's not going to kill consoles. But it is going to attract casual gamers like me who refuse to shell out hundreds of bucks for an Xbox or PS3 (or both) just to be able to play a game or two.

Ok, I got it up and running. First some info about my Laptop. Like I said it is rather plain jane. I am only running Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset with Directx11, 3gb Ram, and I am barely pushing 6mbps connection wise.

I'll do more when I get further in the game. I'm not much of a mouse/keyboard gamer, so I will be borrowing my friends corded 360 controller.

I signed up for a waiting list and I jsut got confirmation that Im in

That's how you do it.

Now that OnLive has gone free I tried it out, and holy **** it works amazingly well. It has a ridiculous library of games though.

I was just about to post this. I tried Batman: AA and it worked great.

Sounds great. Would like to know what the big 3 think about it.

Yeah, they had to tailor it in order to do what MS and Sony and Steam are doing. I played Arkham Origins earlier.
