i was wondering what you all thought they would do for the season 10 credits. There isn't much of a cast, especially now that chloe, and zod aren't regulars. We have Clark, Lois, Oliver, and Tess. Do you think they'll have a picture of a returning cast member and have them as a "guest starring" Maybe have quick clips of all ten seasons and have Clark morph to what we see now? That might be a cool effect, considering how much he's changed over the years.

Allison will still be in the opening credits I assume, deservedly so.

I don't think she will. She's only in four episodes this season.

yeah, i'd be pretty surprised if she was in the credits on the episodes she isnt in. i don't think being in four or five episodes warrants an opening credit image. but seriously, ever since the end of last year, i'm pretty curious how the cast is going to fill out on the opening credits. this is one of the smallest casts i've seen on an hour program.

I don't think that's relevant in this case. Tom and her are the only remaining original cast members, it's a way to honor the work she's done since day 1.

But then again, that would be fooling the audience in a way lol.

I'd be surprised if Allison remained in the opening credits. She's only in four or five episodes the entire season. She'll probably get Special Guest Star billing when the episode starts or whatever same billing Kristin got when she guest starred in season 8.

If she is in the opening credits to honor her work, then I'd say just do it for the four episodes she's actually in. No reason to have her in the opening credits for 18 episodes she wont even be in.

It's not as simple as "honoring" her or something like that, though. It's a contractual/SAG thing that dictates whether or not an actor should be credited as a series regular. And I'm pretty sure they have to apply for special permission to put someone who isn't on a series regular paygrade into the credits with the actual regulars, which is a very rare occurrence. So if she DOES end up in the opening credits, then she's probably getting paid for a lot more work than she's actually doing, lol.

I wonder, will Cat Grant be a regular? Waller? Morgan Edge? Because the OP has a point - these could be Smallville's sparsest opening credits ever. But if they're saving money on the cast payroll that will go toward the production values (or major guest stars) this year, I wouldn't complain.

Phil Morris. :o:up:

Do it!

MICHAEL ****ING SHANKS!

Do it.

Never going to happen. I've pretty much settled with that. I'd rather assume that he's not going to show his face on this show again and then be pleasantly surprised, than hope and pray he reappears again only to be disappointed.

I think the whole "honoring" thing is a crap excuse. They didn't do it for Kristin and no matter what you thought of Lana, I don't know why Chloe would be any different.

Kristin didn't stay till the end. This is the end.

Allison is not really staying till the end either. She's just in four or five episodes. I don't think they'll reward her for effort.

Nobody knows if she'll be in the series finale, and it's the season as a whole that's considered the end.

I honestly don't think it matters if it's the end or not. It's more of a contract issue. Whatever it says in there.

I just hope we'll get updated cast shots, I've gotten tired of seeing the same shots of Tom, Erica, and Allison.

Milos: Allison should be the only one in the credits. :o
