The Dark Knight Opening Titles anyone?

I'll go for blueish dawn, same simple bat sequence wiping to Joker's crew on the way to the bank.

Keep it the way it was in the dark knight teaser, but change the damn music, make it symphonic dark gothic opera, get the audience hype, I want Nolan to establish the tone, feeling and mood, everything dark, after all the title says it all, THE DARK KNIGHT.

P.S. SLow ass news man, anyone from hong kong with some batnews they can share?

Er, that's pretty much what Burton's Batman films were. I don't think Nolan is going to have the film or music in dark gothic opera style.

You're the brave one !:woot: :yay:

Ok, Joker's face made out of flying playing cards, with the casts names swooping through clouds, all to the tasteful background music of Elliot Goldenthal. I'll bet money on it :woot:

What about the bats forming the bat signal until suddenly they all burst spontaneously into flames and drop from the sky, dissolving the signal rapidly.
I'd be creeped out.

There can be blood sliding down a stone wall and it forms the bat symbol.....and then it explodes and the blood shoots right at the audience while a powerful score is playing in the background!

Is anyone else reading this thread title as: "Opening *******" or is it just me?

I would like to see a batmanized Baywatch intro.

"Some people stand in the darkness
Afraid to step into the light
Some people need to help somebody
When edge of surrender's in sight

Don't you worry, it's gonna be alright
'Cause I'm always ready, I won't let you out of my sight
I'll be ready, never you fear
I'll be ready
Forever and always, I'm always here
Within us we all have the power
But sometimes it's so hard to see
And instinct is stronger than reason
It's just human nature to me"

this fits Batman 100% :

That's perfect.

************

Same beats from Begins as the monochrome WB and DC logos come up on screen.

The Bats form with the bluish tint MiniBond posted above. They then form a huge Bat which solidifies into the Bat symbol and then breaks away ala the teaser (sans Joker card). The symbol completely breaks away and the screen flashes white. It then fades to black, and gradually opens up again with the first scene.

Exactly. Effective, and couldn't be any simpler.

Maybe it will be like the Teaser with blue beams coming out and finally the Bat symbol getting blown up and the Joker card!:woot:

Hey guys,

As you can tell by the thread title, what would you guys think about TDK having an opening titles sequence similar to that in the Spider-Man franchise?

I understand that in Batman Begins we didn't see the title until the end since Batman had yet to truly "begin".

However, now that Hans Zimmer has told us that we will hear the new full Batman theme in TDK since Batman has earned it now, why don't we have an opening titles sequence.

I know its not a major part of the film but since this film is part of a franchise and not a standalone film, what better way of pumping up the fans?

I remember getting pumped for SM2 and SM3 when listening to the theme music and I think alot of Bat fans will too.

Personally, I'd like to see a titles sequence in the vein of SM2 and 3 that recap the story of Batman Begins thus far. This will be especially effective since it seems there will be connections to BB. Or would you guys like to see a simpler titles sequence with just the theme ala Batman 89? Or something in between with maybe just stills of promotional pictures and credits while the theme plays?

Many other franchises such as Star Wars and James Bond have titles sequences, why not Batman?

What do you guys think?
Nolan doesn't believe in opening titles.

Personally I like movies w/out titles, throws you right in them

Wow. That is pretty awesome there, MiniBond. Good job!!

And can you try it in maybe purple & green tint too? I just want to see how it look in Joker's colors. I don't mean put the 2 tint together. Just seperately 2 different tint with purple & green. :)

That's an idea ! I will !:cwink:

i could see just the sky with the bat signal lighting up and than you see batman himself flying into the scene turning all to black like a shadow ...you know what i mean like the end of begins ....than the movie starts and you see some gangsters in ...(a garage ?) maybe.... and boom!!!! the first appearance of the dark knight on the roof of that van ...straight to the action, and then story will turn in ...new situation s start and the action continuous ....;-)

No, I wouldn't want an opening title sequence like that of Spider-Man's. Begins didn't have opening credits, TDK should keep to the same style of the bat symbol forming in the sky.

I agree with Monk, I only like opening titles when they're done in a creative way.
people knew that they went to saw batman. but nolan just teaset the bat symbol at the beginning. and he himself said that the reason why batman begins was not at the beginning is because he was not batman at that time. at the end the title batman begins fits 100%.

what i am trying to say? that we have no idea what will nolan do.

here are my things....
