I wouldnt say he admitted defeat, he told the rest of the Autobots that if it came down to it, he would put the spark in his chest. If Prime would have did that, of course he wouldve died, Megatron would have been fucced

I thought Prime was a badass in the film, but seriously.....that's basically admitting defeat. If he had enough strength/energy to continue fighting, he wouldn't have asked Sam to put the Allspark in him yet.

No i meant at the end of the fight. HE said if he can't defeat megatron, he wants sam to put the cube in his chest. After he got beat up, he said, sam put the cube in my chest, aka...lost to megatron.

well...obviously they made Megatron wayyyy too powerful. Prime and Megatron are supposed to be equals in war. the way i look at it...they're the same entity except Prime is the good version and Megatron is the bad version.

the movie didn't capture that....they made Megatron too big and too powerful.

I agree and would have loved to seen that version. If anything, megs would be the one that says retreat.

exactly...despite most of the autobots staying alive, the movie made them look pretty incompetent in battle.

Prime was badass in the movie! I got goosebumps when I first heard his voice at the beginning of the film.

On one hand I agree. But, it does make him more credible as the big bad. Just look at the group he's supposed to be the leader of, they're all very intimidating and destructive. Only a being truly fearsome can get these guys to fall in line. Given how Megatron was portrayed, I can believe that he is that being.

They had some pretty powerful opposition though. Plus they probably had to worry about human life as well, big disadvantage there. I thought they held up well enough though.

When the soilders are fighting Blackout in the city if you look at the back ground it is the only time that you are really able to see Optimus punching and back-handing Megatron.

Optimus Prime was great in the Movie. And I'm sure if it wouldn't have been for Cullen, he would've only been half as great.

And I agree that Prime shouldn't have been smacked around by Megatron the entire fight. I always saw them as equals, you could never be sure how the fight would turn out. I say the next time they battle, let Prime have the honor of laying the smackdown on Megatron.

I would love to see something along the lines of the Dreamwave comics.

Optimus Prime was great in this movie with the exception of his, "my bad" line which I thought was totally out of place. But Prime was only so great b/c Cullen was voicing him. No Cullen = No Prime. You can't have Prime without Cullen, his voice was the most important piece in that movie.

Cullen was definitely one of the best things that could've happened to this Movie. I love to just listen to him talk. I hope he'll get more great speeches in the sequels.

A speech I'd love to hear from Cullen, again from Dreamwave comics. I'm already getting goosebumps just imagining him talking.

I wish the end battle between Prime and Megs in the movie was as dramatic and deep as that. It would have made the movie make a lot more sense. X1 and X2 had similar commentary (between Xavier and Magneto)... heck even Batman & Joker had it at the end of Batman 89. I wish the movie kinda took a pause to reflect a little bit. It's a sorta Shakesperean thing to do.
