Hopefully I don't get flamed for creating a thread on this, but after reading many people's opinions on here, seeing the teaser, and posing some of my own predicitions in various threads, I thought I would piece together the opening of the movie the way I think it may go, and since a lot of this hasnt been pieced together like this yet, hopefully some of you will enjoy this a bit:
*Opening credits overtop of the close-up of the red/blue suit as seen in the teaser, with symbiote creeping across it as the credits come to a close, finally fading to black*
News Reporter: the notorious criminal Flint Marko has escaped from the Maximum Security Island Prison. Be on the lookout for this man *picture of Flint Marko* He is considered armed and very dangerous. Police are reporting that he may be headed towards an Atomic Devices Testing Center far off the coast of Manhattan.
*Camera zooms out from the TV to catch Peter and MJ in frame watching the news report. A few frames later sees Spider-Man jumping out of a window and swinging through the city*
*Cut to Oscorp where Harry is passed out over his desk with pictures of Peter and Spider-man scattered around. He wakes up to the sound of Norman’s cackle. Groggily, he stumbles toward the source of the laugh seemingly coming from the Green Goblin’s lair, backs up and bumps into Norman. After a heated conversation regarding Harry continuing his Father’s work and hunting down Spider-Man, Harry refuses and Norman throws a pumpkin bomb at Harry and it explodes in his face. Harry wakes up at his desk from the horrific dream, with a brooding look in his eyes*
*Cut to Flint Marko dodging cops in back alleys, grabbing some clothes off of a clothesline (the striped green shirt and tan pants) and finally coming to a huge nuclear testing facility. He takes off his jump suit, throws on his new threads, tosses the jumpsuit up onto the barbed wire fence, and climbs over it, running toward the facility.*
*Cut to Spider-Man coming up toward the facility searching for Flint. He catches a glimpse of him, and follows him into the building*
*Inside, Captain Stacy, Gwen Stacy, and many other official military people are about to test the latest in nuclear defense technology. Something goes wrong and sirens start going off everywhere. Abandoning the search for Flint after hearing the alarms, Spider-Man swings in just in time to save everyone, but loses Flint in the process. Just as he gets the last of the people safely away, the facility explodes, but even while looking in horror, Captain Stacy praises Spider-Man for saving him and his daughter and allowing no one to be hurt in the explosion. Flint is presumed dead. The camera zooms back to the beach near the facility where Flint is laying face down.*
*Several days later Harry is back at the facility that Norman tested the original glider, suit, and serum. He finds a few old prototypes of the original glider and suit, as well as a tube of black liquid labeled “highly toxic”. He discovers that this liquid was being developed as a possible cure for cancer but research was discontinued due to its highly volatile state and effect on test animals. Harry ends up taking the GG serum and is shown having a similar reaction as Norman’s to the serum.*
*Cut to Flint waking up and discovering his new powers*
*Happy Spider-Man day! Captain and Gwen Stacy decided to throw a thank-you party for Spidey to show appreciation for the rescue of the Staceys and crew, as well as the presumed demise of Flint Marko. Sometime during the fiasco, Sandman comes in and a huge battle ensues. Sandman beats Spidey to a pulp as a flying menace swoops in to try and take out Spider-Man. After another short battle, Spider-Man is seen being hauled away by Harry in the Rocket Racer prototype suit. Eddie Brock is there to capture it all on film.*
*Cut to Eddie in JJs office at the Daily Bugle. JJ assumes that the Green Goblin has returned and states that he knew Spider-Man was still in cahoots with him. He dubs this new villian Sandman and he tells Eddie he did a great job on the scoop and passively asks “where the hell has Peter been. He’s fired!”*
*Back at the Oscorp lab, Spider-Man is unconscious and laid out on a bed. Harry, in his psycho state, decides to use Spidey as a test subject on his father’s cure for cancer. He pours the black ooze out and it starts to crawl on its own, up Spideys suit until it covers him completely in black. Spidey wakes up, battles Harry, obviously injuring him, and escapes from the lab. This is where Spidey waked up hanging from the building at night staring at his red/blue reflection in the window.*
This would set up Harry to feel bad for creating this evil Black Spider-Man and he would set out as the Green Goblin to try and stop him from causing more harm than good. It would also serve to mess with Spidey's head because he sees Harry as trying to stop him for killing his father still, when in reality, Spidey is the one who is bad, and Harry is just trying to stop his friend from hurting himself and others because of what Harry did to create him.
Obviosly this would take place over a longer timeframe than I have allowed, and there will be much more dialog and back story, but in a nutshell this is how I see the beginning of SM3 to happen now that I can put a few things together from the teaser. Let me know what you think!

I'm just trying to think outside the box. I LOVE the Symbiote origin from the Fox cartoon, but i have a feeling that Raimi might opt for a different approach. That said, I really dont like the Ultimate version where Peter and Eddie are childhood friends, but I thought the cancer cure was a col idea. Plus, Having Harry kind of "create" Symbiote Spider-Man would be a cool twist on how the other villians have been "created" from good people in the previous movies, as well as setting up an even deeper story between Harry and Peter.
