And they really let you know with all the "Academy award" headings above their names. :funny:
I noticed :hehe: felt bad for Zoe Zaldana, until i realized she got to make out with Bale, and then i didnt anymore :oldrazz:

Yeah all of those changes (particularly about Casey's role) were in the new script (revised by Cooper) although with the interviews and this trailer, I'm starting to think that Cooper's version was tweaked again. :funny:

So what is Bale's character now? Just a blue collar small town Joe from a Bruce Springsteen song? It looks like Cooper is really using the setting as a character, despite not showing anything I got a really uneasy feeling from the trailer.

I really liked Crazy Heart. This one looks interesting, and I love the cast.

I loved that trailer and I love Pearl Jam.

Looks like solid performances from everyone involved.

Her time may or may not come. It depends on the positive buzz this film gets and her performance in it. Otherwise it'll probably be Viola Davis as The Academy's "Go to Black woman" when she puts on an amazing performance.

Yeah the location plays a big part. It's basically a dump that everyone wants to get out of but Bale's character is the type that is content with just staying there and working at the steel mills (like his dad).

But wanting Obi-Wan Kenobi and Batman is just greedy! :argh: :oldrazz:
And your point is? :oldrazz:. Besides, It's their own fault for making Velvet Goldmine. I got images inside my brain that you dont want to know about because of that movie :awesome:

I hope she puts in a solid performance. I think she has potential.

A Bruce Springsteen song in movie form, much like how The Place Beyond he Pines felt to me!....Don't worry I'm just showing my age. :D So is his brother alive?

Too late....:( :oldrazz:

No. Woody kills him.

Has he been dead the whole time?

They didn't find his body immediately so Bale and the police thought tht he was just missing. Halfway through the search though, they found the body so by the time Bale and Woody's character met, Bale already knew that his brother is dead. Not sure though if they changed it again.

Gotcha, so he was killed immediately after not throwing the fight but not found until much later? I think the split actually makes it interesting as instead of being a straight up revenge film there is an initial element that will develop the characters before the actual revenge comes in, in the second half of the film.

Finally the floating ember is actually appropriate for a poster like this.

Yup!

Also,
there's a good amount of "bonding" between the brothers before and after Bale got imprisoned which IMO was the best improvement in the script. That way, the revenge feels deserved. In the old script, Affleck's role was an ass and he and Bale barely have a relationship so you don't really feel bad for him when he died.

Great actors listed above. Is there a teaser trailer?

Great trailer. I love the cast.

I don't think Saldana is always the best actress but it is neat to see her getting so many roles. And it's nice to see her in a non sci fi action movie.

Yeah this looks awesome. Love me some Christian Bale
