there's a good amount of "bonding" between the brothers before and after Bale got imprisoned which IMO was the best improvement in the script. That way, the revenge feels deserved. In the old script, Affleck's role was an ass and he and Bale barely have a relationship so you don't really feel bad for him when he died.

Sounds promising, the clips of them together in the trailer kinda reminded me of Micky and Dicky in The Fighter

The reason changed but it still happened. In the old version, it didn't say why but it just showed Bale's character splattered with blood (people assumed he killed someone (can't remember who) but I don't recall him admitting to it. In the new version, he accidentally hit a kid with his car and the kid died.

And yeah, I got The Fighter vibes too. I bet the relationship with the brothers will be my favorite part of the movie.

Maybe it's different for me then. Growing up in the UK, nobody here (at least where I grew up) listened to them or had even heard of them until Guitar Hero came out!

So yeah, they are underrated to me.

Wow. I had no idea about this movie. Nice surprise to see that trailer this morning. Really loved the tone set by the use of Garden. It's funny because that song came up on my iPhone the other day, and I hadn't heard it in years, probably. I listened to it twice, just remembering how great it is. Anyway, just threw it on my Google calendar.
